Premium Holster

i got my premium holster some day ago from Phil (who is really nice guy). the holster is an extreme high quality piece of work, nade for serious use, not a hobby-toy-stuff (but now it is .
hard to imagine how its can be better, may i add some weathering, but its too nice to beat it
first time its a bit tight on the Tomenosuke, but after one day break-in with the smaller Takagi gun (the static version)
its works as expected, with the Takagi its perfectly fit, for the Tomenosuke seems a bit (about half an inch) shorter than expected, but its still very cool (maybe even cooler:) ),
and holds the gun very safely.
my next purchase will be the policeman version.

IF It is the real spring holster I will warn you that these can rip parts off your model.

I have one and it ripped off the side rod. And it took some paint as well.

I tell people that as much as I love these, I will not cover damage to my models using one.

I tell my costumers these are for display only, use at your own risk.

I am a big friend with Phil his last name is the "S" of "C&S" on my models.

I only say this a public service.

I got this holster for my Takagi blaster and it fits very well, no worries about damaging your blaster here.

After breaking up the holster for a couple of days, it fits like a glove.

I used a little brown shoe polish to give it the used look i wanted. I found the color of the brand new holster a bit too light for my taste.

Definitely too small for the correct size blaster. Shame.

Oh well. Still exploring options.

I make those premium holsters for Phil.

The colour is accurate to the saddle tan that Safariland was using at the time. Of course, you receive the holster 'Factory fresh' and not worn and weathered.
It's a little light for my tastes too

I don't think many people realize you have to break the holster in and work with it to fit the blaster.

You've worked the holster to fit perfectly, very nice job.

Thanks very much for that. Glad you like the holster.

I custom wet-form holsters for clients when required. The best time is to do it before you wax or treat the surface.

You can cling film the blaster then wet out the leather using a soft sponge and warm water with a TINY drop of dish detergent or shampoo in it.

Make sure you only wet the outer shell and not the inner liner, so don't submerge the holster. Wet the sponge and work in a circular motion, wetting the outer shell and belt loop until it darkens evenly all over. dry with a soft towel. Set it down and wait until it starts to lighten up again, so it's just damp. Insert the cling-filmed blaster and work gently into the right position. Gently massage the holster onto the form of the blaster with your fingers. Take your time.

When you're happy it's the right shape and form, set aside somewhere out of direct heat and sunlight for a couple of hours. The remove the clingfilmed blaster to let the air get to the inside. the holster will hold it's shape now if handled gently.

Set aside to dry naturally for a couple of days, then treat with a good, colourless beeswax proofing. Buff up.

Cool, thanks, i'll try that. I'm glad you talked about it cause on youtube, i've seen a tutorial that put the whole holster into water, i would hate ruining it like this.

Hi,

Following Karl's instruction, here is my wet formed holster.

After doing this, you'll never worry about the blaster not fitting into the holster. The shell becomes hard and retain the shape of the blaster.

Oh yes,

I would never suggest submerging the entire holster in water.
I know there are some tutorials out there that say to do this. I wouldn't with a fully lined holster, it's your call of course.

The lining material is 1mm thick suede. It's already butter soft, and won't remember any shapes pressed into it. So there's no point at all in wetting it.

Work by sponging water on the outside shell as described above. It's easier to judge and control the amount of moisture going into the leather.

If the holster is submerged It may develop rot before it truly dries out.

its always nice to see the legend himself in any topic and I think my holster is spring`d, and its very tight, fortunately the tome accept it, and its still holds the paints well, after some
heavy cosplay use i see some older tomes has lose the paintings, but not this one (its the latest version)
