Hi guys,

Some of you who visit RPF allready know about my project but I need some help and I figured this is the place to ask.
Me and my friends are making a short SciFi movie set in a BR universe called Slice Of Life. You can follow our progress here

http://www.therpf.com/f11/blade-runner-sushi-bar-slice-life-making-206196/

Ok,so the time has come to make a costume for another character- a cop.
Naturally it is a great opportunity to make a street cop costume.
I did my homework on propsummit and got familiar with costume parts.
Most of these threads are dead for a couple of years, but if I got it right:

Eltee sold force badges,
Mr.Webber did a run of the patches and
Richies armor sold Sinisalo vest pulls.

Are these things still available for purchase, should I PM those guys,or maybe I am four years too late, and if so please save me the trouble. Smile

Hope you like my project and thanks a lot for your help.[/i]

Welcome to Propsummit Lukafilm I have followed your project with great interest on the RPF and, as you know, I'm a fan!!

I'm sure other people will chime in, but as far as I can remember, the cop costume is not easy to do and parts can be tricky to get.

Good luck, and don't forget to post here, you'll get another bunch of people subscribing to your cool project Cool

Welcome to propsummit lukafilm.

Many of those guys may still have a set or two left, or others that purchased extras. Also there are people that are on here that may also be on the RPF but visit here for the BR stuff more often, as well as those that never venture over there, so please feel welcome to post your progress here as well. You will be surprised how many enthusiasts, makers and professionals will come out of the woodwork when help for something like this is needed.

I do check in to the RPF on occasion and mostly to see what you have been doing with this project. The work is astounding and I have continually been impressed by it. I hope we can help you out.

Andy

Thank you Andy! I'm glad you check out my thread sometimes!
Joberg and Ben are regulars allready! Very Happy

Anyway, I PM-ed those guys about some leftover badges/patches, so I'm waiting for now.

I will probably have some questions down the line, and I will update this thread too with my progress. Since this could soon become more than just a costume thread, mods can move it to a more proper forum if they want.

Yo!

I started working on my street cop uniform, the helmet first:

since my main thread is at the RPF, I'll just post one or two main photos here, and leave the link if you want more detail!

Hi!

I have a question. I'm trying to make myself the police badges, and I need the bezel that screws to the FORCE badge..
I found this website that selles them:

http://www.eloxite.com/store/category.php?id_category=6

But it seems they only have 38mm bezels, and if I measured the pictures correctly the bezel from FORCE badge is 30 mm right?

Can somebody measure their diameter if you have the badge, and does somebody know where could I buy the correct diameter bezel?

Thank you guys!

Hi.. This is from the large FORCE badge by Eltee. From the last run. The inner diameter is aprox 35 mm and the outer is aprox 43 mm.

IF you get the bezels fro Eloxite, I think there's a minimum of 6 pieces IIRC. If you have a spare, I would like to buy one from you

Remeber 38 mm is the inside diameter of the Eloxite bezels

Hey Buch! Thank you for a fast reply!

Yes, so Eloxite's 38 mm is a bit too large.. hmmm.. It would suck if those turned out to be visually too large.. I've been in contact with them and they dont have any other sizes unfortunately...

Ok, I hope somebody will have some other idea, but if not I'll order theirs. I won't need all of them, so I'll mail some to you Buch, no problem!

Did you ask what the outer diameter was? It could theoretically be 43 mm

I think the reason the inner diameter on the Eloxite bezel is larger than the one on the Eltee bezel is that the Eloxite bezel is constructed as a real frame, where you can fit something into... That's not the case with the bezel in my picture, it's just a ring... So the Eloxite bezel could be a perfect fit...

This looks sick! I love it. Why is Croatia so far away from here!?

Yes, well somethimes it bothers me too that Croatia if far from everything Smile

Ok, so I got my Eloxite bezels and they fit my badge prefectly!

I hope it will help someone so here are some measurements:

I calculated aproximate measurement from photos, and made my badge W 8cm x H 10 cm..

Eloxite bezel is like this:

Inner diameter of the ring is 35mm, but it has a notch beneath as you pointed Buch, and the notch diameter is 38mm. 45mm is the outer diameter.

So there it is, not far from Eltees. These ones have the correct number of spheres around the ring as well, so they are pretty accurate, and they are made from some kind of alloy and are very hard.

You can check the progres with my film here:

bye!

Hey guys!
I don't post here that often since most of you are members at RPF as well, but the other day we finished the street cop costume for our film and I wanted to post a couple of photos here too.

If someone new stumbles here and you like our work be sure to check the whole thread here: http://www.therpf.com/f11/blade-runner-sushi-bar-slice-life-making-206196/index15.html

Cheers!!!
