Hi Karl;
Since you offered to ship it for free, I'll send $99 + 4% for the fees. Taking care of that right now.
Also, if anybody wants the version for NON-metal blasters, send me a PM. I'll offer it to anyone that wants it for what I paid for it. I haven't done anything with it, never even put my blaster in it, as we found out about the need for an altered, metal blasters version at the same time it was shipping out to me.
As Karl and Rich have pointed out, the first version is still great for lighter weight blasters that some cosplayers use, such as the Offworld models or the Chinese-made toy knock-offs.  |

Another VERY satisfied customer. Your wet forming instructions were perfect. At the place that I bought the beeswax the salesman gave me another bit of helpful advice... briefly (20 seconds) heat the surface of the leather with a hair dryer and then quickly apply the beeswax. The higher temp of the leather will melt the beeswax and allow it to better penetrate.

Looks good.
Be careful heating the leather up.
Hair dryers can get the leather too hot and cause the wax proofing to melt right into it. You want the wax to sit up in the surface, not deep in the leather. You don't want it melted right in, as it causes the leather to go soft and it won't hold the wetforming.
I apply the wax with my fingers. Body heat is enough to soften the wax proofing sufficiently. No real need for a hair dryer.
It should be a beeswax based waterproofing treatment, and not pure beeswax.

| Yes, that's the type of beeswax that I used. The holster is very stiff, still and I just warmed it on the low setting for less than 20 seconds before applying it with my fingers. |

this is Fil - at least I think this is you (are you the Phase Pistol I once knew as Blastermaniac on the RPF?). But anyway. I moved to the USA (from Italy) and most of my props were left there.
Repurchased here a Tomenosuke as I couldn't be without it.
Need a holster. Now, I can go with the more expensive one - too - as long as it fits well my (new to come) Tomenosuke.

Ofcourse Karl!
Here is my "economy" holster from Karl.
The images do not give back the beauty of this holster, the craftmanship are equal to the premium version (which i still proudly have),
materials are the same level too, except the leather thickness, which is more than acceptable for the price.
For cosplaying i use this instead the premium, its holds the gun better and its more comfortable.
The premium is staying for display and home use
i planned some wetforming and aging, ì`ll update this post when the process completed.

It's the minimum to justify the expense of the double shoulder of hide I have to buy in this specific 'whiskey' colour.

I have recently got a heavy weight off world blaster with all the metal upgrades so I'm in for one. Do you still have the option of the slightly different holster for heavier blasters to stop them tipping forward?

Yeah
You really need to read the thread.....
I now offer a holster in this design specifically for heavier blasters. It has a reinforced drop shank which lowers the centre of gravity to below the belt. Looks the same from the front, as the grip covers the shank.
This is the default design, if anyone has a lighter blaster I can supply the original version.
