I got these from Firebox in the UK and I was delighted by the quality and weight of them.

A little "pricey" to be sure but I think that they were totally worth it.

Price isn't bad for a set of two.

This is the perfect glass of this series. I have the shot glasses, highball glasses, and another style, but they are all light weight. The double old fashion has just a great heft. Especially when full!

These are made in Italy by a company called Arnolfo di Cambio. I'm not familiar with any other versions.

Had a chance to get these from Amazon for $115!

But waited a day too long, and not only were they sold out, but there is no listing for it at all anymore.

Has anyone from the U.S. purchased these from Firebox?

I ask because their shipping FAQ was a little odd.

It said something along the lines of once you buy it, it's yours (which is no problem but), it said you couldn't track the order.

I'll have to look at it again.

They have knock-offs for $25. Not exact, but they'd be good for a cosplay if you didn't want to be carrying something that valuable around a convention.

Just purchased them from Firebox. Though in the FAQ it said you can't track the order, I paid via Paypal, so I'm sure it will be ok.

Will post when I receive them!

It'll be fine. International tracking is kind of impossible as they are sending it airmail and it's being handed of to USPS when it arrives stateside.

You'll be very happy with the quality of these.

Just got mine too! I've been waiting years to buy these as I just couldn't spare the cash on them yet.

They are absolutely beautiful in hand and so completely clear.

Now I can't wait to get my whisky bottle next week.

Haven't been on in a while. Glad to see everyone is here and having a great time, still.

I forgot to reply when I received them. I will only be repeating what others have said: they have a heft to them, which is nice and they are...fantastic!

Holding one in your hand for the first time (not to be overly dramatic!) is something else.

The design, well, as someone who is not very creative, it really makes you appreciate the craftsmanship.

I purchased them through Firebox also, and had no problem, except the bottom of the box was not taped, and it began to open up a bit.

But, luckily they were in perfect condition.

I would have expected them to be packed better though.

Nice. Congrats. Yes they are really beautiful and I too was surprised that Firebox didn't pack them better. One corner of the box was crushed when they arrived and I feared the worst but they were totally fine.

Enjoy!

I finally relented and put in an order for a set of these Arnolfos as well. I went with Amazon.uk after not really finding a great price difference between them, Firefox, or Amazon.fr. Think I can mentally justify the expense if I concentrate on the fact that this is really a "heirloom" glassware set. I can't wait to feel the heft in my hand. (Obligatory "That's what she said" line...lol.)
