A question about your 11 may post,Joberg, what are these parts that fit perfectly on the round base and give great panels effect ? Is that plastic card ? From shop or home made ? Thank you for your help and great inspiration source.

It's on the second page, when you write about the "cladding of the module". You have had many panels of different sizes on the base, these were those I was talking about.

O.k. got it Yes, plasti-card (or Syntra). Took the circumference of the main spoke and made the half round cut.

Some of the panelling is from inside holder from cookie or biscuit boxes.
It's a dark brown shiny plastic that can be used for that purpose.
The Space Station is full of those

Well, in between renos and the Space Station there's little time.
This is a looksee to make sure the big ring is going to fit properly (small adjustments to make, but nothing major).

240 windows have been cut-out and will be framed, one by one, with 4 lill' quarter rounds (= 960 pieces to cut )

Thanks Colin...question for the lighting of those 240 windows.
Should I go with Light Bars, or EL wire or LED wire?
The whole set-up should be battery powered and "light weight". I'll try to cram the battery into the main module that you see in the pic.

But how your 240 windows cut-out can be so perfectly regular ??
For me it's the awfull thing in modeling : multiple and repetitive gestures on a same kind of work.
My solution is to make a little every day otherwise it's so painfull. Bravo for your patience !

How can the windows can be so regular? Measuring, tracing and a lot of patience is required.
As my Father said: follow the line and make it as straight as possible.
I cut free-hand 99% of my work. I seldom use a ruler but that's experience over the many years of doing it.

Thanks Fred. Getting there ever so slowly (the renovations in the house didn't help ) But I'm getting into it again; I'm cutting panels already (12 different types)

Well, not all was lost during renovation time. This is a dry-fit and, as you can see, I still have to build the other side of that 1/4 rim + the underside as well.

Well, this part now is painted and the windows are done (opaque plastic).
