|
|
I have a complete Deckard wallet and contents set for sale.
I bought this in 2005 from Phil Steinschneider himself for $1,150.00
It has remained, in its display case, in dark storage ever since.
Phil's website claims that only around 25 complete sets of these props were ever made.
The plaque says mine is 27/100
It's accompanied by a full sets of COAs from Phil.
Asking price is USD$590.00 plus shipping.
Anyone interested please email me for pics: karl@skin-job.com
Thanks,
Karl

IIRC, didn't Phil have some wild clause in the purchase agreement that these couldn't be sold without his okay or something like that?
Good luck with the sale! _________________ Pete |

Don't know about that.
I didn't sign anything.
I bought it, it's mine.
I want to sell it, it's mine to sell.
Cheers,
Karl |

He originally tried to keep the images of the sets under wraps supposedly to protect the owner of the original set from having his property exploited by the usual internet copycats. I think he had people sign agreements not to post pictures of the set and the parts, and probably also had people agree not to sell with out going through him in order to keep the agreements with the next owner. It is all moot now since he is posting pictures of his sets on his website now, and many others have broken any "non-legal" agreement they had with him by leaking pictures of their sets as well as recreating it themselves (spinner44.com). Here is his website with a bit more info and a pic of the set. He also has more for sale (for $1150)...

Who knows how much of the wallet is authentic, but it is still a pretty cool piece and part of the Blade Runner prop replica history that was certainly filled with more mystery and intrigue than a James Bond storyline. If I had the money to spend I would certainly love to get my hands on one.

Thanks for the insight Andy.
It's certainly an interesting story, very convoluted
This set goes on Ebay UK at 18:30 GMT
I'll ship free in the UK. |

I certainly wasn't suggesting that you couldn't sell it when and to whomever you wanted, Karl. I remembered the story as Andy wrote it and brought it up for a chuckle at the absurdity of his trying to control the sets so tightly. _________________ Pete

Congrats both seller and buyer. It's certainly a nice set. I currently own a spinner44.com set, which has a more accurate ID card, appartment card and vidphone card. But if I didn't had that set, I would have snapped up this set. The shadow box also is a great extra, here! |
