THE MOUSE AWAKENS . . .
Well, it's still roughly 3 months away, but today I discovered the first major contribution to what will, no doubt, be an overwhelming onslaught of products in the next few months, leading up to the release of "The Force Awakens".

I walked into Barnes&Noble and there among other more common SW items, I discovered that – for a mere $150 – you can now own your own BB-8, controlled via your smart phone -

Already acclaimed online to be "the best Star Wars toy ever", its technology is rather amazing, its movements remarkably similar to the little droid of whom we know almost nothing, aside from his appearance at SDCC and on a trailer or two.

With Sideshow Collectibles' recent revelation of their Hot Toys' "SW:TFA" Stormtroopers, Disney is wasting no time in capitalizing on the next installment in the Star Wars story. They obviously will not repeat the "mistakes" of Christmas Past (1977) and Kenner's mere promise of toys yet to come.

So one might also assume that others like EFX will soon follow with same-scale props for those here who hunger to add to their collection of past Master Replicas and the like.

May The Mouse Be With You! - R13

When it comes to this, Disney is the most "aware" company on the planet.
