Hi all!
It is my first post here so I want to introduce oneself. My name is Marek Ryś and I'am an digital modeler. Main area of my activity is aviation models and art, but in free time few years ago I started to model some vehicles from Alien series. Progress is very slow (free time is very rare thing in my case), you can trace it on my blog (www.8thpassenger.airart3d.com). I would also show my work here, so I started this thread. Actual state of works:

- Narcissus (modeled in 100% waiting for texturing)
- USCSS Nostromo (modeled in 15%)
- USCSS Prometheus (modeled in 40%)

More images you can see on mentioned blog http://www.8thpassenger.airart3d.com/

Welcome aboard! Saw your stuff originally over on SCIFI-Meshes nice to see your progress.

One word of advice when creating the docking tube on the Nostromo...

DO NOT make it slant down... It comes out perpendicular to the ground.

correct: http://propsummit.com/viewtopic.php?p=24775#24775

anyway, just having some fun, enjoy your stay!
Very Happy

Thanks Starrigger Smile I also foud some differences between existed Nostromo model and how it was shown in film. It was the reason I took the break and started with Prometheus first. Just need to correct some things before Nostromo will be back in workshop Smile One of them is this thing, identified as AT-AT Walker head after I modeled it Very Happy (I think, that is completely fake element):

Walker head yes, I recall seeing somewhere the restorers commented on using that. they also used it as the top antenna support above the bridge. (Look back at the link above..)

(quickly Googles...)

Scroll down a little ways on the page...

The whole part under the bridge had to be rebuilt from scratch so you can't really go by what's there now if you want screen accurate..

Hi to all!
Project is still alive, but I had not to much time for its progress. So after loooong time I have few things to show. I focused on Prometheus - Nostromo need to wait a little bit. So here you have few new shoots from building process.
