I am guessing you are talking about the no-firing/functioning simple mold one and not the Cap Fire one that 5x the cost or more? There are some threads talking about how some of them have been showing up extremely warped. Also HLJ has them in stock now for just over 100$, so be careful. The ebay ones all said pre-order too, so not stock in hand. I hope it goes well and you are happy with it though. I am still debating on whether to get one or not depending on the warpage issue being resolved or not.

Yeah...those all plastic cheap versions Andy....they still are for sale, in stock at the moment for around $107 plus shipping at HLJ (Hobby Link Japan) website.

I am seeing more without the warpage issues showing up, or at least minimal warpage. I am still hoping the price may actually come down on these for the over all simplicity of them.

I understand they are undersized as well, like a 4 gen copy...

The type of plastic they are using is very durable, but also as we have seen, very prone to shrinkage. Also I think the Takagi guns of late have been a little small. He started off making them way too big, and may have overcompensated. His early guns were gigantic and made the PKD-1 and Oz Shop guns look tiny.

I came across that on ebay the other night and nearly bought one myself.
Dodged one there I think. Really like the deeper, richer colour of the grips though. Would they fit a pre WorldCom Sid Kit? Maybe some will pop up on ebay.

You may be talking about the 'prototype' of the Elfin Knights "static" Takagi Type blaster. The final issued product in December 2014 is no where near as good as the prototype pics. Many complaints on the RPF and on this Forum about this blaster. Many people returning the gun for refund. Still on sale at HLJ website for about $107 plus shipping. Myself... I was going to buy one or two....but when the final product was released last week.... no way...what a disappointment. Confused

This may be old news, but I didn't see it posted elsewhere. I noticed a police conversion kit for the more expensive Takagi Blaster. I ordered one and will post pics when it arrives.

I ordered and got one of the "Takagi Police Conversion Kit" too, for my Elfin Knights M2019 Blaster.

I'm not totally sure how to dismantle the grips : when I remove the 2 screws, it doesn't really come off. (it budges a bit, but that's all) There seems also to be a thin layer of liquid (oil ?) between the amber plastic grips and the metal part underneath.

Elfin Knights Project attached the grips differently than Tomenosuke did, apparently.
