In your opinion Ford wearing a Microma or a Timex case? from the few shots in the movie it can not actually establish what case is, it would seem to have the gold panel inside with Microma engraved, but it is unclear if there are vertical lines in the case like the Microma.

in this picture can be noted the difference of the cases, the microma have two vertical lines that the timex model not have.

Could Deckard`s watch have been a Timex? Wow, I gotta say that after comparing your picture and the only viable hero pictures, you might be on to something and a lot of people
including myself might now be a little nervous. First impression says the Timex is longer but the more you look, not so much.

As you have all the details, the first thing to check is the production date, if its on or before 1981, the games still on.

Did a quick check online and found screen accurate bands on similar Timex watches of the era but only a stainless steel version. If you can contact someone at Timex itself and find out
as much as you can about that model like did it come with a screen accurate black band on release. Maybe a Timex watch discussion forum.

Can anyone remember who originally ID`d the Microma as the screen used model? Very interesting.

Wow. Pretty compelling evidence for Timex. That would turn the Microma market value on its head...

Looking at the hero pictures, it would seem that the bracelet is of the microma model. In the bracelet of my microma is engraved a code, U.K. pat 1418802.

Timex made the same style band, just haven't found it in black yet. Is there a production date on the Timex?

I wonder who copied the other, both watches are very similar, scarily similar.

"In 1978, Intel sold the Microma name to a Swiss company and the watch designs to Timex."

Seems that Microma is the original designer.

Did a frame by frame of the small scene seen here with the Final Cut Blu Ray and I `m pretty sure you can see the thin line on the watch. Cant see it being anything but a Microma but it sure is close.
Good news is that there is a genuine substitute for those looking for a Microma. Bad news is that it`s harder to find than a Microma.

It never ceases to amaze me how many details of this movie can still be uncovered.
I suppose it should be expected since there probably isn't another movie that is examined under a microscope the way that Blade Runner is...

Personally I find the design of black-gold MICROMA to be super cool...

Really wish I had a brand new one to wear or that they were still made...

This could be a game changer, or just a nice option for a costumer. Maybe it will put a damper on some of the Microma prices too, and allow some of us to pick one of them up Wink

This for example, seems to be a timex case with the microma panel, and I don't think is a genuine microma.

Looks like this model:

http://www.digitalwatchlibrary.com/DWL/1work/microma-black-and-silver/

But yeah, could be a TIMEX case...

I have a suspicion that the TIMEXes are equally or more rare than the MICROMAs...

Yes probably, seems that there are fewer for sale, but I think that the microma black and gold is more valuable
