Those white number markings that were once on the magazine receiver perhaps? working LEDs in the laser sight?

The white 5223 was an option on the previous Tomenosuke replica. The numbers were on the blaster when it was delivered to the studio, but were removed before filming.

When I saw the thread title got excited because I thought it was the new Gosling blaster, oh well.

Another Deckard blaster? Why is the guy even carrying the same piece thirty years later anyway? Even Mad Max managed to find four different model shotguns in the Wasteland no less.

Just venting. Wink

Well, I'm sure there's a simple explanation about Deckard keeping his weapon with him for all those years...it'll be in the movie (I have a feeling Wink )

My first thought when I saw this thread was "Great, we'll be able to spot some differences between the one we know and the new ones they put together."

Because there has to be some minor differences.

But, based on that graphic . . . ?

"This is a just sample design of flyer for new Tomenosuke Blaster is called 2049 version. We used basically Jakob Stærmose' design."

Maybe they just re-used earlier design?

Technically, the guns we're using now are old tech when you think of it Wink

I have a sneaky suspicion this is going to be the blaster used by Ryan Gosling in BR 2049. It makes commercial sense.

That does not address or explain the other blaster on the bar... Confused

If the Blaster on the bar is Gosling's PKD, I'm surmising, this is the weapon Tomenosuke will be producing as the "Tomenosuke 2049 Blaster" and not another variant of the original gun. If not that would be a missed opportunity!

I have not yet gotten the full story from Tomenosuke, but it appears from photos that have been coming out of TokyoComiCon that the new version of the blaster will have lit LEDs in the clip housing, the screwdriver "sight," and in the grip itself (which has long been rumored to have been a feature of the original prop and the reason the grips are transparent).

This is assuming that the blaster shown is indeed the new "Blaster 2049," and not just some custom one-off build.

Looks great. Somehow doubting this will be a "lower cost" item

OK I am told now that this was a one-off, and it is not the new product.

One of our Japanese members on our FB-page translated some of the top text from the blog that mentions the idea to introduce this as a low price version. But not yet confirmed as I understand.

Actually, a lower priced version makes more sense as less obsessive fans may be looking for a lower cost blaster once the new film comes out.

Does that mean that it IS the new Gosling blaster, for want of a better term being produced?

It would be handy if a company brought their A game to the table and got access to that screen used blaster prior to the films release and therefore save collectors a fortune in best guess
at the time versions down the track. Twisted Evil

All I know at this point is what I was told, that the lit-grip blaster was a one-off, and that it is not representative of a new product. I will report back when I know more.
