Ah, stupid of me, I didn't even see the glass in that pic, I thought you were referring to the pic in the first post.
Those ARE Cibi glasses though. Razz

Cheers!

Those aren't Cibi but the Bormilio glasses Wink You see it on the table in front of Ryan (with Denis) in that shot.

Looking at the photos of the glassware in question, I wonder . . . ?

While extremely close, I think there is a very slight difference between the one shown and the one offered on Amazon. The actual tumbler seems to have inverted triangles top AND bottom that match up. the Amazon version, while close, SEEMS to differ in that while there are triangles pointing downward up top, they are not always matched with a similar triangle beneath, pointing upward.

Or am I just SO wrong . . . - R13

Well, I see the difference. I guess I'm going to hold off opening this box of Bormiolis.

I think it's a matter of perspective; mine was photographed at an angle (let's say 3/4 shot) while the product pic shows a straight shot.
If you do the angle shot, your triangle is going to look narrow compared to the straight one Wink

Well, possibly, Joberg.

Definitely a close match. But if you look at the glass in question (on the white background), you will see two rectangles beneath the triangle with a seam separating them and a diagonal crossing through.

The actual BR glass shown, appears a bit simpler and has only one rectangle.

It would be my guess (and our luck) that, as with the Cibi before it, they would use a more expensive item and save their bucks on things well in the background.

But perhaps if you took a shot at a similar angle(?)

Playing around with my glass, it looks exactly like the one in the pic. All depends on which way the glass is facing.

Well. That settles that. Good to know.

Apologies for doubting, but didn't hurt to confirm. Thanks Joberg! - R13

As for the glass on the table, here it is: italian made, I bought those a year ago, but I don't remember the brand/make.

Good find. I think this is the glass below, right?

Bormiolo Rocco Cassiopea. They make a rocks and double version:

https://www.amazon.com/Bormioli-Rocco-Cassiopea-Double-Fashioned/dp/B008PCV6FS/ref=pd_bxgy_79_img_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=PTJGWFBSJ4SEG516NE7V[/url]

It appears to me that images of K show him with the rocks version, is that correct?

The one on the table looks like the taller Double Old Fashioned to me.

The image on page two of this thread looks like the taller Borlioli Cassiopea Double Old Fashioned, but the ones in this pic below look like the slightly shorter Bormiol Rocks Glass. I can't decide which I should order.

The fist few pics on this page are all of the taller one. The pic above with the decanter shows the shorter one. I know the correct Cibi is the Double Old Fashioned, but this Borlioli Rocks glass is about a 2 oz difference from the taller one and I like the proportions of it better. I wonder which one is used in 2049?

3.5" x 3.5" vs 3.5" x 4.0"
11.25 oz vs 13.75 oz

Yes, it's confirmed, my shot of the glass is the actual glass design used in the movie: 10 1/2 cm high (or 1/4 inches).
It just that the angle shows other types of lines on the glass Wink

So is it the double or rocks version?

I grabbed the rocks version as I just liked the proportions better but from the pics it looks as though they may have used both.

If the above glasses are shown in 2049, it wasn't enough for me to really care, but the ones Deckard was using were cool. I'd be interested in those.

Honestly, after seeing the film, I wasn't 100 percent convinced that we have the right one, here. But I'm happy to be proven wrong, of course. Smile
