I've been searching here, as well as online in general as to what the source was for the front trigger....The hole in it would need to be far back vs centered to work with the existing holes in the bulldog frame, so just wondering if it was ever decided what gun it came from?

I am pretty sure it was a Smith and Wessen pistol, but I might be wrong. I know I was told it was combat frame, but it isn't. It is for the regular pistol with the non slip grooves. Might be a .45 trigger too. I will dig into my stuff here soon, and see what I can find out. I know I have one left. Adam savage actually got my most accurate one, but I know the one I had looked more similar to the Bulldog trigger. Regardless, it needs to be cut down quite a bit before it can be used.

Thanks for the reply, look forward to seeing what you dig up!
Is there any sort of cutting guide out there on what needs to be cut?
I guess I can see what it looks like fitting and always trim one up.
Ill look around at S&W parts online and see what I can find. |

Andy is correct; it's a S&W. IIRC, it is not caliber specific but I believe it's from the older vintage frames and may have been on several models. I have several remaining from my BR blaster fab days...just email me.

Craig/CKovach is the man, and I would believe whatever he says. An honor as always to have him back on board, and not just lurking

It's a K frame trigger, I believe. Just look for the serrated ones. They're super common on the used market. |

I was searching for K frame since I keep hearing old, but the K frame looks the same as all the newer ones as well...unless its totally custom cut and then the pin hole drilled for it. |

Cut-off wheel on a dremel, a hand file, a drill press... baby, you got a stew goin'.
Just the tip of the iceberg, honestly. The whole project is quite a bit of work. |

Lol, good point....all I know is triggers are usually pretty hardened steel..the revolver frame is too easy to work with...Ive had to re-bend it back in to place 2-3 times now from being dumb.
Found the trigger for $6 shipped on ebay so its on the way, which means another step closer! |

OK...got the trigger, got the shape pretty sure 90% or so, can finish with a hand file..BUT....I THINK I need to shave a bit off each side, as it hits the trigger bar from the bulldog trigger.
My pencil is pointing to the bar that's in the way...99% sure it needs to be slimmed for it but wanted to make sure as its easier to take metal away than add it!

Yes you need to mill some of the metal off to allow for that latch to move.
Here is the shape of what needs to be removed.
