|
|
Just wanted to share something I have been working on for the last week or so:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2633184
Joi's Emanator. This is the second version, the first time around I butchered the center part by making it round...it was only after re-looking at my limited sources for info that I realized it was in fact square!
Let me know what you think, open to and would appreciate any feedback so I can keep making the design better! |

Is it just me, or does the design remind anyone of the MIB2 neuralyzer mechanism, blue LED & all? As far as I recall, there's no pop-out action on the emanator, just a slide, correct? |

Yes sit the bottom just slides down. I had a lot of people asking me how I was going to do the "spring action"
Funny how we all remember scenes different, but he just pulls it down.
I edited the thingiverse page a bit, glad you are enjoying it. Im new to the community so doing my best to contribute! |

If I recall, the prop director from BR:2049 also worked on all 3 MIB movies, so your probably dead on as far as some form of distant inspiration for it! |

Its not a project run, the files are absolutely free for you all to print, im not looking to make any money off this.
As far as if anyone wants to do a cast run or use the files to improve on, please go right ahead! |

I really have to print this, as soon as I re-assemble my printer (in the process of re-organizing my work spaces). I think an SMD LED would fit fine and some mini (like hearing aid size) cells could fit inside to power it. _________________ If only you could see the things I've seen with your eyes. |
