OK, a little bad news on the glassware front...

Watching the 4K on Apple TV and it looks like the K glass that we ID'd is close but no cigar.

This was what we were thinking. https://vistaalegre.com/us/arcadas-old-fashion-48000001-us

I bought one. Really sorry for the low rent comparison. Looks like the "leaf" pattern on the screen used is narrower and a bit higher. The leaves also connect closer to the bottom on the screen-used and the glass also looks to angle out more than the one we were looking at.

Back from Xmas vacation...well, now the glass is, indeed, clearer(no pun intended Wink ). Hexagonal base and closer leaf design at the top.

Early in the process. Need to weather the pistol a bit and work on the badge set.

Nice wallet, I bought the same model and badge. Not sure how im gonna go about sewing the plastic sleeve over the badge, that leather is pretty thick. In this shot it almost looks like that plastic wraps around the edge and goes to the front, i wonder if the whole outside of the wallet is covered with it as well and its actually one long sheet that wraps around to the inside? I also see it over the lip on the ID side.

Anyone got a shot of the outside of the wallet?

I've been away for ages.

Reading through this thread has been a lot of fun. It's reminded me of the excitement of the hunt, as well as what a great community we have on this board.

The thread and the new movie have also given me a lot of new items to covet.

After all this time away, in the midst of my binge reading, I was surprised -- and weirdly moved -- suddenly to find myself mentioned by Replicant 13 in a post on p. 8 about something that happened years and years ago:

Replicant 13 wrote:

I actually traced the shapes in Illustrator first - but it was a member here (Temponaut) who eventually chimed in and answered my questions, and actually translated the words, revealing that they had been jumbled in the creation of the fake magazine cover (something you could not get away with today).

Ah, how I miss those days...

Thanks for the mention, R13! That was a cool project you did, too.

I hope to be on the board more and more in the future.

Looking forward to catching up!

Fooling around with wallet experiments today. Making progress, but I still have some things to refine. That acrylic wrapper is trickier than it appears.

Are you actually sewing it in or just punching holes?
