Sorry haven't posted for awhile just be swamped with build up work. I started the prototype for the bellow, so far this ruff mock up is working pretty good, still need to fine tune some of the hardware but overall its stable. Will be working on the master build up of the model soon, and be developing lighting, sound and bellow motor kits in the future.

Very good effort building your version of that iconic prop. Some little details missing (easy to fix) but, all in all, a very good entry for model makers and fans of the movie |

Thanks for the vote of confidence, I don't know allot about the machine, I am more of a builder & electronics guy but would like any input on what could be improved with out making major changes. I will be in LA for a few days but when I get back I am going to start the build up.
Thanks again for check it out! Randy... _________________ Thanks Randy Neubert

I haven't seen your other pieces up close (eye piece, servo-piece connected to the eye).
Here are the little details:
There's no recess at the front of the machine on top of the big screen; that should be flat with your front. The LED bar and the button should then be applied to that part of the machine.
Pullies for the arm: one is flat (close to the rod) with just the screw protruding and the other (at the back of the arm) is flat with a small "bubble" of center and no screw visible.
Bellows should be of different size, specially the end piece. Since they're on a slant, the bottom bellow (the one touching the top of the machine) should be longer than the next one on top and so on and so forth.
The bar holding the bellow should be rounded on the left hand side corner (if you view the prop with the bellow at your right hand side); while the other corner should be a normal 90 degree angle.
On top of the 2 screen box, the buttons should have a "spout" on each of them; the bars should go out of those spouts toward the 2 small screen. |

OK, Thanks for your input, I will try to round up as many photos as possible to make these changes along the build. Thanks again Randy _________________ Thanks Randy Neubert

Good feedback! Joberg, do you have any photos of the little add ons for the buttons on the mini monitors? I'm having trouble finding that detail. |

No amber dome on the eye piece! Simply a reflection of the light on the Remington razor piece. You'll have more pictures on the eye piece in pics published by Imgur on the various models built by the model shop at the time (I think there's 4 or 5 pics of the V.K. being built).
acemonstertoys: the Vimeo video on Stephen Dane clearly shows the little spouts on the side of the buttons, on top of the 2 screen box. |
