I added a couple of pics to the gallery, showing the new leatherette interior die cut.

The plaque is just placed as a 'serving suggestion'. All plaques are supplied loose.

Faust1193,
The plaque already has 3M double sided adhesive tape on the back. Peel off the safety film and away you go.

You finally just posted a sample picture and haven’t even started assembling my box. Not sure why the rude post and PM were necessary. Spot got filled almost instantly.
And to answer your question from the PM, no, I did not know I was going to purchase 8 Derwent flame tubes, import them to the US from the UK in order to help several Star Wars fans realize their dream of owning a vintage piece. I’m sorry I upset you by backing out of run, but my money (several thousands of dollars) is going toward something else.
Best Regards,
Chris |

Teecrooz,
The post wasn't rude, just stating the facts.
I'm sorry you feel offended.
I just posted a sample picture because I just finished the sample last night. Two more boxes have been completed since then, three more by the end of the week. The first six, as I promised in my updates.
I'm away for a week then I'll finish the other six. As promised in my updates.
The PM was to let you know that I wasn't happy with you bowing out so late in the game. You signed up to a list, knowing full well you were committing to a purchase, and bowed out at the last minute.
I don't take deposits, I work on an honour system. I've spent a lot of time and money on this run. I reasonably expect people to honour their committments. I do.
You are incorrect, I've started on all the boxes.
Components have been bought and made, laser cutting and die cutting ordered and paid for, components stripped and copper plated, fittings purchased. All of the boxes are at some stage of finish. So they've all been started.
That someone filled your spot on the list is completely irrelevant. It could easily have been left empty, leaving me in the hole for the cost and labour on your box.

As my spot is now filled and I have read and understand your position, I can do nothing else but wish you luck with the rest of the run. |

Oh, thank you.
Yes, I prefer the bronze/brown/brass look of these. More of a vintage military/campaign vibe.
The woodstain colours work very well with this pallette, the reddish browns all pick up with the russet/rust tones of the leather.
The copper plated steel corners turned out nicely, as expected.
They are usually zinc plated and used to repair the internal corners of cabinets and shelving.
I do enjoy repurposing stuff

The first six will be all finished by tonight.
Can anyone outstanding from the first six please get in touch with Deb if they haven't already done so:
deborah@karlderrick.com
Paid boxes will ship Monday morning.
I'm away overseas all next week. the second six in the run have been part finished and will be fully finished the week after, so please be ready?
Many thanks,
Karl |

So,
Witchking73 (number 6 on the list) has been in touch to say he's out of the country.
We've agreed he can be put on the second six boxes.
This means we have one box finished and ready to go, if someone on the back six would like it.
Jump on this thread to claim it. It can be shipped Monday.

I can't really, no.
The list isn't open ended and the run is fixed at 12 units this time around. I'm sorry.
Cratercritter dropped out and Gprops I believe is taking his place, but I'm waiting on confirmation of that.
If Gprops doesn't want Cratercritter's place, then you could have his spot.
I only have components for 12 boxes...

I can't stand it!
The timing is awful, but if no one else jumps in, I'll take that spot.
This box is too beautiful to pass up.
Well done Karl!
