WOW, indeed!

I just found my trace of the NIKOSEY logo, but looks like I am a bit late. Perhaps others can use it . . .

Nice work, Beast! - R13

I had my tracing filed away for another project. Finally ran across it when I had a few spare minutes to search.

Tom Southwell had done a poster (another far background element) that is lost in the kipple of Blade Runner. It's just another of those countless logos and bits of art he created and used on various pieces to satisfy Ridley's direction for more detail.

Hope it helps someone in their efforts to re-create this universe. - R13

A CORRECTION & A CHOICE
Having determined the font on which this logo seems to be based, I have made some alterations to my previous attempt. While it is difficult to know the exact shape of each letter - knowing how much hand work was involved in creating any logo back then - it looks to be based on Windsor, in some form, but probably all hand done.

Once I identified the (probable) font on which it's based, I found subtle mistakes in some letters that are now cad dressed with these two new versions -

The top is the previous tracing, with some minor tweaks - primarily the lower case "a", which now leans to the left.

The bottom version, while significantly altered, is derived from the actual font, with some heavy alterations - and again changing the (funky) "r" and the extending the "s".

While these are not perfect, perhaps they're better.

The choice now falls to the user. - R13

Good find! Smile The new version looks much closer and has some authenticity behind the font now. Nice work R13! Will swap this in Wink

EDIT: Looks like somethings wrong with the image function?

Try an external uploader, like servimg or noelshack. The forum host is probably down.
