For $2,999 the wooden display box should be included, not be $449 extra. When you consider they simply painted and assembled the kits we can all buy for $550 then it’s hugely overpriced. Harrison Ford’s signature is a nice touch but...

For that kind of money I could afford to buy a Tomenosuke, fly from London to LA and hang out outside Mr Ford's house to ambush him with a plaque and a sharpie.
Plus I'd get to meet him Smile

I broke down and bought one.

But I'm a sucker for all Blade Runner Blasters.

Japan release Signature Edition Version.
Edition size 75. Special Custom Blued Version.
EFX release Signature Edition Version.
Edition size 25. Custom Painted-weathered look finish.
Hence a TOTAL of 100 Signature pieces worldwide. The plaques will be numbered 1/100 to 100/100.

I like the Japan release version. Tomenosuke's Gunsmith-Artisans being, Toku x Sato collaboration custom edition...Blued finish.
75 units. 324,000 JPYen PLUS shipping cost.
324,000 JPY is about US$2,900 + shipping. You get the wood box + signed plaque + wood stand + blued special custom Blaster.

I wouldn't know.
You will need to check with USA Customs about that (?).
And, ask Mune at Hollywood Japan Collectibles (Japan)
about shipping to USA costs, time scale and fees etc.

.... I wish I hadn’t seen this thread...

I was on the fence when I thought it included the box. Now I’m not so sure...

I’m still on the fence.

I asked Mune about it. Shipping will be $300-350.
as I already have a "Toku-San Special" (kit assembled & blued by him), I'm hesitating. (this one is basically the same, but weathered at certain spots - the white dots/scratches - and without the slot screw)
The 75 will go fast, surely.

EDIT : took one.

From the EFX website advertisement for the Signature Blaster:
..."WE WERE JUST INFORMED THAT THIS IS THE LAST PRODUCTION RUN OF THE BLASTERS FROM TOMENOSUKE, SO ONCE THESE ARE SOLD OUT, NO FURTHER PIECES WILL BE AVAILABLE!...."

Does not sound right to me. I was informed by Tomenosuke last week that there will be more Blasters on the way in the near future, likely with some minor tooling improvements.

EDIT: See Next post regarding amendment by EFX.

I informed EFX Collectibles yesterday about this. A short time later they amended the wording on their website to read as follows:

..."WE WERE JUST INFORMED THAT THIS IS THE LAST PRODUCTION RUN OF THIS VERSION OF BLASTERS FROM TOMENOSUKE, SO ONCE THESE ARE SOLD OUT, NO FURTHER PIECES WILL BE AVAILABLE! "...

After each run of the blasters I’ve been led to believe they would be the last of the Tomenosuke blasters and I find myself scrambling to buy one.

Fool me once shame on you. Fool me five times shame on me.

Part of what leads you to believe this is that you may want to believe it and you may hope that it will be as such....that is a possibility to a certain extent...wishful thinking.
Tomenosuke have never stipulated that they will completely cease producing these and never have they stated with any definite legally binding certainty that any of their production runs will be the all and end all of their blasters.
Makes no sense from a business point of view to stop producing these, as there was the new movie recently and there are up and coming new sci-fi movie fans who may be interested in Blade Runner props such as the Blaster. Even older existing Blade Runner enthusiasts who have not purchased Blaster up to this point, may want to purchase one in the future in the secondary market which is usually expensive, but better to buy a new one if they want to save cash.
