Looks amazing. So excited to see this progressing.

One note the OWM grips are the smallest/shortest of all the grips out there. Might not fit aesthetically with the larger proportions as well as a Sidkit or Coyle set of grips.

Looking good so far and as hirohawa said, grips might be a prob.
Eager to see the next update

I would agree with you guys on that. However, I've been unable to find anyone willing to part with their Coyle parts (or any other parts for that matter), and Rich isn't making anything last I checked. So unfortunately It's all I have to work with at the moment.

Watching this closely. I have contemplated getting the airsoft Steyr to do this very thing. I was thinking of reducing the airsoft reiver down in length though to make the real steel version.

I was going to cut mine about here;

I over laid the airsoft one on a photo I had of the blaster. Everything seems to line up exactly including the bolt and ejection port, with the exception that the airsoft one protrudes further.

Very excited to see your progress

Quarantine has given me some free time. So between various long deferred house projects I've got this back on the bench.

I have the upper receiver where I like it, drilled and tapped a hole in the barrel to more securely fix it in place. I'll be using epoxy for the rest. I'll be doing the same for the ammo housing.

My big dilemmas right now are the grips and side panels. Since i have a Off-World grip frame properly sized grips are hard to come by. As are side panels.

I'll keep updating as things move forward.

Had some time today to do abit of work on attaching the upper receiver and ammo housing. I really wish I had a mill at home!

It's starting to feel much more secure, I think I'll still use some epoxy here and there to really hold everything down but I'm pretty pleased with how solid it feels.

I was able to source some side covers and trigger guard from a helpful tip in another thread, those are currently on their way. So really the last hurdle is going to be the grips. If anyone knows about a set for an offworld kit I'd be very interested in obtaining those.

Another small update. I recently received the side covers and trigger guard so look for a upcoming post of those being put on. I think I'll be carving the grips out of wood since I haven't had any luck locating a set that will properly fit the Offworld grip frame.

Here's my update regarding the side covers. I'm pretty pleased with how well they fit over the cylinder and attach to the frame of the pistol. Though considering how custom this build is turning out to be there's still going to be a lot of fiddling around to get the fit how I like it.

Here's the bolt action side I'm going to see what options I have for this while trying not to modify the opening too much.

Here's the cylinder release side. This has been a bit of a hassle. The crane arm on the revolver is too narrow to get a bolt in there comfortably. I also had to notch the frame just a little so the cover would sit more flush.

So I've been using a metal mix epoxy to build up the underside

There's a good amount of material here on the swing arm to get a good securing point. I'll change how the cover looks, but I'm willing to make that adjustment

Here's where I'll be moving the attachment to.

Once I have that done I'll be figuring out how to get the trigger guard attached. I learned the hard way propane and pewter don't get along. I think if I'm careful a hair dryer might produce enough heat (fingers crossed) so I can adjust the guard to the end of the frame.

It's always trial & error (or tears, sweat and blood) Looking fine for sure!

Getting closer now. I found some aftermarket arisoft bolt handles and decided to see if they might fit better.

Not quite a perfect fit yet...

And roughly assembled, here's my first attempt at a trigger guard.

Yep, that bolt handle will be a challenge for sure. Maybe modifying the cover plate? Your call, of course. Apart from that; it's looking good!

I was really tempted to change the opening, but I'm hesitant to modify the side cover since I only have one and it'd be a hassle to replace if something went wrong.
