This animated movie was originaly released in 2002, then released in DVD (the complete title is : Corto Maltese : La Cour Secrète des Arcanes), but alas without any french or english subtitles... You can find it quite often on www.ebay.fr at a low price (5 Euros + shipping)...

Well, it's beautiful (my former assistant worked on the backgrounds, he copied BGs I developped in the early 90s for a tv show titled "Arsene Lupin") but the story... hum... very linear... a little bit disappointing in the end... but I agree with you on the beuaty of the visuals ! (the director refers a couple of times to Blade Runner during his interview on the bonus features of the DVD) |

Hi There!
The name's Paul, I'm a long-time BR and general Sci-Fi fan. I'm not a prop or replica collector* per se, as I know that once down that dark path you start, etc. I've a background in electromechanical and microelectronic design and production, and have always had a love of building weird and random things, particularly if they included flashing lights or worked by remote control. In my childhood I was involved in stage drama - both acting and behind the scenes, which I much preferred, due to the chaotic and challenging nature of low-budget prop design and construction.
Now I've potentially got something to contribute and have finally decided to stop lurking and register. 
* I do have an artificial cork 'brick' from The Living Daylights; as a schoolchild living in Gibraltar I watched the pre-titles sequences being filmed and 'helped' tidy up. |

Hello All,
my name is Steve, graphic designer by trade.
In short:
- Like Collecting Replica Props.
- Like Filmmaking.
- Like Classic Cars
- Like Comics Books & 2000AD
- Like Terry Gilliam Films
- Love Blade Runner.
Currently researching which is the best Blaster for me to purchase. Off the shelf, no building, as accurate as possible, sturdy enough to be played with, around the £100 to £200 mark.
Good Forum, very in-depth, thanks for having me.
P.S. Any one tried Rutger Hauer's forum, boy is it slow. |

Hey guys,
Name's Dann, I'm the same Dann from the RPF. Been a member over there since the beginning, lurked over here on and off for awhile, thought I might as well join up.
I have a small BR collection.
Sidkit all metal blaster
various shot glasses, none blue though. 
ID card, phone card, leather blaster holster
random (similar look from the time-period) costume pieces
Magnoli tie on order
I noticed Siderio is doing his own version of the Worldcon blaster and that was exciting enough for me to finally register.
I also saw Rachael's amazing work on her costume pieces and now I've been "bitten" by the BR bug once again.
Anyway, glad to have yet another forum to stare at in my free time! |

Thanks for the welcomes, guys.
I thought I'd snap a few quick and dirty pics of the stuff I've got.
Excuse the Halloween chalii. (is chalii the plural for chalice? lol, I just Googled it, plural is chalices, I like chalii better) Anyway, I like Halloween, so, they sit atop the fridge with the shot glasses.
Like I said, the costume pieces aren't anything accurate, just stuff I found at local thrift shops and whatnot that I thought fit the part.
The blue fabric at the top of the shirt was added by my moms. |

Hey everyone
I'm a nooob here - should have posted here prior to any other post.
I used to work as an Assistant Director in the Director's Guild of Canada ( Toronto) for about 6 years - the show I worked the longest on, was Gene Roddenberry's Earth Final Conflict. It's here that I fell in love with screen used props. Eventually I got fed up with the D.G.C and moved over to the non profit sector - www.archive.org and now I run an enormous scanning center that uploads public domain books that can be downloaded at no cost - trying to better humanity and all
Always loved Blade Runner and found this board to be informative, positive and not at all like the RPF. Cheers to PropSummit

Welcome to the community Gabe!! I am truly glad you like it here and found the difference that Propsummit was trying to make when it was created.
I have to be honest when I say that www.archive.org is one of the best things on the web. I cannot tell you how often I have used that site looking at old versions of websites I used to visit many moons ago.
