Beauties Rick ...as for our "enduring patience" it's well worth the wait!
Good luck with the sales |

Email sent for a KMS enforcer kit.
Can't wait.
Is the Enforcer snub different than the previous snub you did? I see that teh grips are different but in terms of size/design.
Thanks! |

Thank you! I am happy to hear that you like them.
Regarding the new snub design, at first glance it is essentially the same as the old one, except for the new grip design, of coarse. What sets this one appart from the old one is that all of its parts, except for the grips and the barrel, were modeled in Rhino and 3D printed. All the "wonkiness" in the old handmade version has been eliminated in this one. The K.M.S. 2017 Issue, also, has the same 3D printed parts. The grips for all were handmade. The fake suppressor parts and threaded barrel I turned on the lathe. The laser body is a found item and its clamp kit bashed together from a number of found items.
I forgot to mention that I am working on an accessory kit for the Snub and Prowler models that will be available separately when ready. It will be a retrofit fake suppressor kit that will allow you to turn either one into an "old fashioned mobster's heater". A few more grip designs reside in my head, too, that I would like to make. These will be offered as accessory items that can easily replace the standard grips on each model. I will post updates as these other items are finished.

I thought this might be a good place to post this look back to the future -
For those who are unfamiliar or who weren't "aware" back in 1997, I found my original copy of Issue 10 of Amazing Figure Modeler. A particularly significant issue to Blade Runner fans*, on page 41 it featured a first glimpse of the original offering from some guy named Rick Ross -
As the text read, "You gotta have it!" Soon afterward, I was holding my first PKD kit, soon to be followed by a number of other variations.
HAB1! - R13
* This issue also featured a work-in-progress look at sculptor Mike Hill's 1:1 "Deckard" bust (pg. 70). _________________ Gosh, you've really got some nice toys here . . . |

I never picked up on that myself, but glad I could solve a riddle, even unintentionally. I knew I had the issue with that entry, but didn't run across it until yesterday when I found my box of AMAZINGs from the late '90's.
16 years . . . . . WOW!

I bought the PKD 1 in 1997 (or 1998) when they first came out at the now defunct Village Comics in NYC. Still one of my all time favorite Blade Runner Blasters and kicked off this obsession with all versions of it. |

And from Issue 19, dead center on page 69:
It may be a PKD II, but . . .
Gotta love those VILLAGE prices!

|

I went out to visit Rick yesterday and pick up my Enforcer kit. It was great to see all of his painted versions laid out on a table. It was like a PKD arsenal! I reaized only too late that I should have taken some pictures. Oh well!
The kit is beautifully made. The patterns are great and the castings are nearly perfect! Not to mention the brilliant packaging and instructions.
Don't delay... order yours today!

There's an old saying, and while some might argue its importance, I will repeat it here:
"Presentation is everything."
Obviously that which is presented is key, but as Rick demonstrates time and again, a well-conceived, well-designed overall package sets a standard hard to ignore and easily admired. Something all who appreciate "the craft" should aspire to.
My order has been placed, and seeing Dave G's only makes me hungrier!

Yes indeed: presentation is everything and Rick is always telling a story with not only his props but also in the presentation/packaging of said props. Thanks Dave for sharing with us; eager to see what you and the members here are going to produce as an end product...cannot wait |

Thank you, Dave! I am happy to hear that you like the kit. I am very pleased with the Goldberg Arms Snub that I have. I hope to find time soon to finish it. When I do, I will post pictures of it in your thread. It is an extremely nice gun design for a snub, and ultra-realistic. I cannot wait.
In the meantime, I have been working on a more traditional color scheme for the K.M.S. Enforcer - light rust with black components. I hope you like it.
