Thanks again for your approval, guys !

Here is the old book cover by Moebius (published in 1971) that gave me some inspiration for the first photo of this thread...

They look a little like Final Fantasy Deep Eyes troopers on patrol in a jungle, don't they ?

Shocked

Fred

Moebius has been one of my masters for decades, i own a bunch of his comics, some of them with original drawings ( John Diffool, Le monde d'Edena, the silver surfer ) by the master himself...and i even have a 1st ed of 'Fort Navaro' with an original drawing from mister Gir dedicated to J.M Charlier (you know what i mean Fred Wink !)
Funny how this particular cover reminds me a bit of Hermann's Jeremiah style though...

Cool. I find the helmet kind of reminds me Gaff's pilot helmet, with a hard shell armor cover of course.

Lucky you, Phil !!!
I only have one dedicated book (Starwatcher) and the drawing he did inside is absolutely crappy... A big potato with a tiny Major Gruber riding it !

Rolling Eyes

Hopefully, I also have an Arzak sketch he did circa 1978... This one is framed !

Razz

Regarding the book cover I've posted above, it was made for OPTA publishing in the mid-seventies, an era during which he produced some of his best book covers, mainly for that publisher. (it also was during that period of time that he worked on Jodorowsky's DUNE project)

I've always been a fan of the deep eyes design, and throwing it into the BR arena works for me. Nice job.

Thanks a lot, Noeland !

I'm currently thinking about doing a costume that would include this helmet... Something very BLADE RUNNER, of course !

Thanks guys... but don't expect something spectacular, I'm rather thinking of something like a private contractor or a sheriff on a remote Offworld moon, know what I mean ?

I had a few minutes left today... so here are a few more pics ! (details, underside, etc...)

The main idea was that this helmet is pressurized, it provides air to its owner.

Great job with the conversion! The b & w colour scheme really fits with the design of the helmet Cool
