I think this is one of their Artist Proof editions, supposedly limited to only 20. They also did a kit and standard Built up one, that was made before they got to see the gun in person at the Profiles in History auction. The AP version has more accurate parts and some fixes as well as that amazingly perfect finish. I am in awe with it. It also sounds like this one was also specially built up for Karl. It is truly special for sure.

Link to Tomenosuke site and complete blaster thread...

Actually I think the built-up Artist Proofs were limited to EIGHT, or that only 8 were available through the Tomenosuke shop. These APs were finished like the Worldcon blaster (cut wires and all) and came with a Zero Halliburton carrying case, display stand and holster.

The AP has some features mine doesn't have, such as the machined aluminum gripframe and buttplate. Additional aluminum parts were made and sold which is why there are 30 sets in some photos I think.

Why the heck didn't *I* find the WorldCon blaster FIRST!?!?!?!

Congratulations, Karl! Of all the Deckard blaster replicas I've ever seen on this forum and elsewhere, this is, hands-down, bar-none, as close to perfection a build-up as one can get. I mean absolutely FLAWLESS accuracy & finish! Hard to believe it's NOT blued steel... I hope their future models WILL be! Smile

Thanks!

Due to Japanese gun laws, the Tomenosuke cannot be an all-metal replica, sad to say. On mine, the Bulldog frame is plastic.

However we are all waiting to find out what the upcoming Tomenosuke/Marushin PRO blank-firing gun will be like. Cool

In addition I would like to thank Temponaut for having introduced me to Enomoto, Nobu and the team over at Tomenosuke. You have done a man's job sir.

Karl

I've been on the board hardly at all this year, due to (1) working the equivalent of two full-time jobs, (2) being back in school, and (3) the birth of my first child back on March 1, so I've missed a lot of online action, including this thread!

I'm taking advantage of a short winter break to catch up a little, and have just now read through the thread.

Hey... NICE BLASTER! Shocked

Karl, it's my pleasure to have made the introductions. I am delighted to see your terrific contributions to the worldwide BR community recognized this way.

If anyone has done a man's job, sir, it's you!

Thanks, joberg! I hope I can be here more regularly in 2011, and not have to wait for summer and winter vacations...

I'm really enjoying being a dad. Now I have an heir to my collection!

Happy New Year to you, too! Man, I missed this place!
