Good buy Dave...and the gloves, as you said, is an added bonus for sure.
Now, doesn't it feel good to finally have the proper docs

Replicants 13,
If you decide to make your own Dorgon cover, please take a look at the collage with the fat man I sent a few days ago and notice the light blue 120 handwritten at the bottom of the page. This was enlarged to 120%.
with your new book, you can match the size exactly.

Rep13,
There is a blue number on the dorgon logo too.
And the letraset page i photographed for you has the font size too!

This will be tooooooo easy for such a pro.

Dave, sorry in advance to hijack this thread with ALIEN related material, it's just that I wanted to ask Tom if by any chnace he'd recongnize the image displayed on the BALAJI pack of cigarettes chain smoked by Lambert ?

I have tried to source it for years... I'm almost certain it came from a Dover book but didn't find it yet...

Fred

Thanks, to you all!

No doubt now, I will not be the only one focused on re-creating a more exact "replicant" of your cover, Tom. But your presence here goes far beyond "tying up lose ends". It's just a pleasure to be able to converse like this.

Yes, I've noticed on the various pieces you've posted on PS, the penciled numbers, assuming these were notes for the stat camera, commonly in use back then -

With your kind comments and postings, and current technology, it will be simple for all here to match your cover pretty much dead-on, if desired. Of course, following that, there is the potential to augment this in a variety of ways . . . . . Cool

SJ66 - Hijack away, old friend. As you know, I'm an old ALIEN fan myself (but then who here isn't?) After all . . .

I never knew Kevin, although his earlier efforts in this realm are well known here and on the web -

But I have to think, wherever he is, he's smiling.

Skin Job 66: I got so tired of looking for the original Balaji artwork that I drew my own:

It certainly isn't 100% accurate, but I'll gladly share it if you'd like. The prop fits nicely in the wrapper from a pack of Dunhills (now if I could just get some "Gypsy Corn" cigarettes to go inside...).

Replicant13,
Several friends buzzed me about the Atlantic magazine covers article, back then but I was busy working and couldn't offer help at the time. And now I'm sorry I couldn't chat with Kevin. Seems he was truly a nut case like us.

Nice work, Retro! Maybe I'm dreaming, but I could swear I've seen the original art somewhere - perhaps in my searches for DORGON's fatboy.

This quote from Julian Lennon seems to fit this thread.

Fred,
You are welcome.
Can't wait to see your next prop.
(Your leaping blue cheerleader made me smile.)

joberg,
My regards to the Mrs.
