hi I have started to acknowledge some of the parts, I cannot find the mechanism that springs open for the barrel, the rod that seems to fit in there is too short (brass tube i gather????) and there is no spring in my packet that is big enough to go around that tube.
the instructions show a silver alloy rod with some kind of alloy collar, this piece is not in my kit nor is the spring , has it been replaced for some other?? I also have a possible longer solid brass rod , which is long enough BUT it is too loose in the lever.
thanks Rich

OK I see that is not completely clear.

The swing arm has a few parts.

You super glue the brass tube into the arm. Making sure the longer brass solid rod slide smoothly in it.

Then you knerll the brass rod and put on the smaller brass tube then knerll it and mount the larger short brass tube. (see the pistol photos.)

Look closely at the pictures, you need a shrot part of the solid rod sticking out so it can go into the pistol frame.

Then the small spring will fit on the solid brass rod and be held by the two tubes mounted on the rod.

It then goes into the swing arm with the trimmed brass tube.

Then you knerll the other end and slip on a second small brass tube to keep it on the swing arm.

Again look at the pictures in pistol. I have added more details and hope this will help.

I can not seem to get on photobucket correctly this morning.

Will upload the new pictures when they get it back up and running.

You use both small short tubes on the rod.

So it is solid rod, smaller short tube then the larger short tube on top of the smaller short tube.

"crimp solid rod and slide collar , slide solid in glued tubed , spring , crimp and slide collar....???? "

OK Tube is in arm and sanded flush:
Then it is crimp solid rod and drive on small short tube, then crimp the short smaller tube ITSSELF and drive on the larger short tube onto the combo of the solid rod and the smaller short tube, making it rod, and two tubes on top of each another on the rod.

The sping can work over and pass the one small short tube with out the larger tube to stop it.

The once mounted in the arm with the sping it is then crimp rod at the other end and drive on short small (2nd) tube and ajust it to fit the psitol frame.

Rich (the upper cast I is my slow finger not lifing after I type the R..saw you cought that....)

OK I am working day and night getting the next batch ready to go.

I have the basic kits ready to go. Please confirm your order and please send your payment. These can ship next week.

I am very near the point where I put aside the deluxe kits for assembly for shipping (and start painting and finishing the other models.)

So again please confirm your order and send your payment. These deluxe kits might be ready to ship late next week.

Any unclaimed kits will be finished and built up for retail sale.

I wanted to post this here as well.

There has been a discussion about flaws and pitting in some parts:

http://www.propsummit.com/viewtopic.php?t=2213

And again if a part becomes a major problem, I will repair OR replace really bad parts.

I also feel that the only parts that I am willing to exchange are the ones that will be treated by pewter black, or bluing, the ones that show and really do need to nice.

These are: the Steyr Receiver, rear cap, cocking lever, trigger guard, triggers, and in some cases the Bulldog frame. As so little of the Bulldog is visible, as is the cylinder, these can be a little poorer and not show in a build model.

If I do a repair I will sand the part, to insure it is repaired.

All parts that end up painted black can be fix with body filler and paint.

I want to point out that the slight holes around the screws cutouts are NOT mistakes or flaws, they are in the real prop. Making these parts accurate produces the same holes/flaws that showed up in the real prop.

OK This is the LAST CALL.

There have been a couple of cancelations so there are a couple of spots open.

There is one deluxe model kit and one basic kit open.

These will remain open until Friday.

Saturday this will close and I will process the unclaimed models as full buildups.

This will applied to any kits not paid for as well, so if you have not contacted me with payments or made a deal on payments your kit will be used to make full buildups as well.

There are a couple of these in limbo kits as well.

I post this not as a complaint, in fact I am very happy with our results, this has gone very well, but I am at the point where I need to go forward with these models, to either ship them out as kits or do the next steps that takes them forward as full buildups.

Again, thanks to everyone who joined, and a special thanks to Karl (ironfist)for talking me into all of this, it helped me in many ways.

Rich

OK At ironfist’s request we will wait until Sunday night on the deadline.

After that anyone not in, will be SOL.

Sorry I caused some confussion: these postings are for those whom have not been responding, namely:

# 15 Heat2237

# 28. Aguirre

And any other last minute jumpins. (Yes if these three do not check in you could take their spots.)

I need to know which model I am to build from the point I am at now.

The deadline is so I can move on with doing these models.

Again thanks everyone.
