Hi all

So, I sprayed my Sidkit Grip Frame Black today and the paint seperated leaving bubbles on the metal. Does anyone know what this metal is and do I need to use a primer first?

I used a primer on mine and then black automotive paint -- it did not bubble.

You can also use an automotive self etching primer that sticks to metal real well. I use this on all the metal parts.

Primer should work and so should Rustolium. I have heard the BBQ grill paint works like a charm, but have yet to try it myself. I would also clean the metal ahead of time, just as you would resin, because the pewter oxidizes by producing a powder that will keep the paint from adhearing.
