|
|
Hello everyone. I discovered PropSummit through a web search and it looks like a lot of you folks are kindred spirits. I just had to join.
Saw this old photograph and I immediately thought of BladeRunner, as another poster obviously did.
Perhaps old photos such as this served as the inspiration for the interior of J. F. Sebastian's apartment. I especially like the strong back-lighting.
Be sure and click on the larger version of the photo for much more detail.
I also recommend this site as a source of much "steam-punk", or retro inspiration. Check out some of the old city panoramas at Shorpy. |

Thank you Loyalizer and Bwood. I'm glad that someone else can see the similarities in atmosphere and it wasn't just me. Thank you also Bwood for posting a still from the scene in J. F. Sebastian's place. That's one of my favorite scenes from the movie. |

Great still bwood! it even has the little white rat that scampers through the scene in it. I always wondered if that rat was artificial or real in the context of the story. Sort of Ridley's nod to Isidore finding the live spider in his building in the book. _________________
