Hello, thanks for the invite.
I will not jump on every Blade Runner that is a copy off one of my models, so lets relax and injoy the fun of this film and the props from it.
For anyone with a broken C&S I do offer repair service, in many cases the only cost is shipping.
More later.

Sounds great.
How about if we start here.
I am currently working on building a VK machine from scratch. Have you ever considered building one of these? |

No.
I felt it was too complex to do, and I have all I can do to get the gun models out.
I know of a couple of people have started, I don't remember any one finishing one.

I would like to say, I will not jump on someone showing off a build of some elses model, unless they start plugging buying that model.
Showoff is ok, I like seeing and suport model making, plugging I feel is bad, to openly shill or sell or pitch a recaster's model is bad, so I suggest they PM that kind of talk.
Is that fair??

Noeland.
See Spinner44 - he's been working on a VK. I've been tracking his progress and it seems latelynhis career has overrun into time he's needed to spend on his VK. he has made some wonderful progress!

OK, I wasn't really speaking in terms of selling them, or making a production run or anything. I was thinking more in terms of tackling the challenge of such a complex prop, and just making one for yourself.
I do know of one person who has finished one, and sold it on ebay years ago. It didn't have monitors in it, just back lit printed acitate I believe.
And yes, I am aware of spinner 44's project, and I can't wait to see his progress and pictures as his project moves forward.
My start on the prop has been pushed back a few weeks until I get moved and settled into a new place. |

I am all for all model making, and selling of one's own work is great, my only problem is with recasters.
Hope your move goes well.

Cool. Lemme ask you then, hypothetically if you were to build a hero VK machine, just for yourself I mean, how would go about doing it?
Yes, I AM fishing for advice in my own build from you Rich.
And any advice is sincerely appreciated. |

I believe Sean Morgan(Syd Mead blaster) built a working VK machine. I saw animation of it somewhere. I will try and dig up the links. I have movies of it working as well. |

Not sure my good buddy Shawn tackled that one. I think you might have meant our mutual friend, Morpheus 13 Productions....

I'm pretty sure Shawn did some work on the Syd Mead version of the VK. Long time ago, during my time at T4, he had some pics up. |
