Came across this by accident and the shape jumped out at me,is it what i think it is? Can someone confirm this?. I dont think this has been mentioned anywhere else here so sorry if it is old news.
Looks like they just dressed it up a little........

I could swear there was another thread about this monitor elsewhere in the props section. General consensus seemed to be that it is the same type of monitor, or that the monitor in the spinner was from an old word processor.

It wasn't released until November 1982, after the movie was made.
