I am looking for something that is true to the film used stunt as possible, at least in aesthetics. I do think there is a market for the more durable versions, but this one will just sit on my shelf. I am in for the plain black resin one for now and can send $ by the weeks end.

I am also willing to get on an interest list for the possible rubber version too. If the Rubber version is a go by the time I get cash together, I would probably upgrade to that version. So I guess I am saying which ever version works best for you Bryan, I am in on.

Hi

I'm with Andy on this one. I would LOVE a casting as close to the original Stunt as possible, with the fitted Amber grips. Count me in for one of those - and I don't care how long it takes!

On a seperate note; Andy, thanks for the tip, I checked out flickr but could only find one photo of the "Pistol used in the film Blade Runner, 1982, The Paul Allen Family Collection " and it's pretty small! Did I miss something, or did you find any others?
Interesting paint job on it too, very shiny !

That was done after the filming i think. It was coated with a glossy clear to keep the rubber from breaking down any more.

I will post an update tomorrow on who is in and who is paid to date.
Thanks to all those that are interested.

On the rubber version I will make a determination on availability soon after the resin versions are shipped.

I'm still interested but I won't have any discretionary income for the foreseeable future as I relocate to a different city for work.

It's a great piece of history that I would love to have in my collection, but alas it is not meant to be right now.

Thanks,
Bruce

You know! That rubberizer spray that Temponaut had talked about could give this a nice "Rubber Stunt" feel. Cool

I was thinking of masking off the grips and hitting it with that stuff. Assuming I can find some here in the city or online.

I got a pretty good description of one of the real stunts from an owner and the rubber body is enclosed in a hard glossy shell, not sure if this was done only after filming by a collector to keep the rubber from degrading, or if it was done during filming. Supposedly the one in the Seattle Sci-Fi museum is also finished the same way.

Can't wait for this Bryan. It will take a place with my Spinner emblem that is also cast from a screen used piece 1 gen away.

Thank you so much,
Andy

I read on the internet that it was to stop the rubber from "breaking down"
