You are correct about the stunt, well at least a couple of them anyway.
The one that is in the Seattle museum does have a gloss finish on it and it was cracked in areas, obviously no "flex-additives" were used in the spray coat when the rubber was treated.
I assume it was glossed for scenes where it was used closer to the camera so it wasn't flat black.
If my memory serves me correctly, I believe that stunt also had a green plastic insert in left "gunsight" detail. I will need to check if I have any reference images that show that. Not sure if anyone here knows that detail.

Very curious. I do remember noticing that on the slanted cut in one of the pics of a stunt it showed a color paint or something else. Here are some pics of the Screenused.com stunt that had the painted grips thaty at least shows the glossy finish....
I will have to go back to Flickr where I think I saw some good pics of the one in the Seattle Sci-Fi Museum.

As of this morning all orders are produced.
Everyone should be happy to know that the castings are better that the early posted images of the sample casting. These will have minimal clean up and very few bubbles.
I will be tending to final prep and packaging and at the earliest, I will have order shipments starting tomorrow.
Below are images of progress showing 10 of the units, a few more will be produced this afternoon.

Got mine today. It's a light as a feather roto-cast piece.
And mine is kind of . . . flattened.
It looks like it might have been kind of squished in transit, so the left side of the gun is really flat.
Now I have to go about fixing that.

Noeland.. so the piece is hollow? I was kind of hoping for a massive piece of resin. I like them to have some weight.
The piece was inside a box or a enveloppe?

Mine is hollow, yes. I have a few other roto-cast replicas and they feel exactly as this one does. Very light, but with a solid feel. It doesn't feel like you could crush it with your bare hands or anything like that. It doesn't feel cheap.
It was shipped in a box with some peanuts, but one side of the box had obviously given way from something heavy being put on it.
I was expecting a solid chunk o' resin too. I was surprised by how light it was.
I'm going to be hacking the crap off the bottom of the grip, so I'll likely be filling mine with some resin so I can work on it a bit and then paint her black.
