Yes, very happy about that Neil.
Great pictures Bryan, thanks very much. Can i ask why red lights were used instead of blue ones on the spinner remake?

I believe Gene had decided to just use what was readily available due to time constraints. There were obvious changes made during the restoration and a bit of on-the-fly fabrication.

There were many people working on the spinner at once and all had their duties, in the end it was nearly film accurate. Gene had asked me to produce the navigation instrumentation graphics as well, he had installed illumination within the dash. At the time he asked I was in his shop applying the decals and I didn't have the time to get them produced before it was shipped to Seattle.

"Jerry, my rods and cones are all screwed up!!"

Cool project, offworld66! As usual! Wink

Thanks, Pilot!

Waiting around for patches to be finished, got a start on the lightbar.
Found the perfect chinese made roof racks and foglights at a discount shop that would be useless on a car but perfect for this. Still under budget.
The one thing i didnt really think through was the size, its gunna be big, i`ll work around it.

Thanks joberg, yeah, she`s still in the "Thats nice dear" stage but the envelope is starting to tear if you get my meaning.

Ive just indulged myself with all the things that got my instant attention the first few times i caught the film and still catch me, the spinner of course, the lightbar
for some reason always got me, Gaffs hat, the coat, the gun, the bottle and the street cops, back in the day it was these guys that i wanted
to know more about along with Gaff.

Whoa. Wait a minute; "and this side's done"? Don't tell me you're doing both sides?!

Look, if this is some cunning plan to start building a full size spinner without anyone noticing, just remember that the door will have to be big enough to get it out!

OK, I don't mind mentioning this looks fantastic, now do we have a member that wants to make the body, another member for the plexiglas, and another for the framing, etc., then we can all meet together and have a party to assemble it!

You bet Kevin, the whole thing, all i have to do now is chase up another flood, cut and spray the wooden base and roof piece for the centre light to sit on and i can fully service my BR light fetish. It is long but incredibly light.... in weight. Total cost around $140.00AUS ($100ish US). Its over original budget but still a bargain.

Many thanks for your comments Bryan, just poking around the trail you helped blaze.

joberg, your right, she says its ok to build a whole spinner as long as i "make %ucking sure its a working one as youll %ucking need it"
If your ever down this way with a spare couple of weeks, its some trouble id like to get into. Very Happy
