I bought this book by Miguel Angel Prieto about the making of BR and pretty much anything else about the movie in it, including a ton of rare photos. Unfortunately I can not read Spanish, but it is worth the price for the pics alone. The seller has a bunch left at a really good price, and it is large sized vinyl softcover with 170 mostly full color pages in it. I am sure Joan has it already and can perhaps help us with some of the translation Wink

I only wish somebody would do an English language version of the book or an equivilent. I can't tell you how much I have wanted something like this.

Wink It's a very nice book Andy. I have the first edition as well this 2nd one (not differences between as I checked). Pictures are very nice, and I think as you, is a very good addition to any collection. And price is a total bargain!!!

This year a new version has been published in a reduced format, same quality.

Hurry up, or I will buy the rest!!! Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy

The price on this book has come down even more for those who have yet to buy it or want a second copy.

I just wish I could read Spanish.

hehe... I can do it... Very Happy In fact I have the two editions of the book (completely equals, only the edition number changes) and still UNREADED both of them!

I will read it eventually, and perhaps make a little briefing in English here.

Sorry to bring back such an old post, but obviously I'm new. Is this book worth getting if you already own Future Noir by Paul M. Sammon and The Inside Story by Don Shay?
Thank you.

Has this friend of yours read Future Noir? Because I didn't think I'd find a book about Blade Runner with more information than that! The only problem is it doesn't contain many pictures, but The Inside Story has plenty. I guess this other one is a balance between the two, but I would hate buying it just to see that it doesn't offer anything new, so it'd be nice to get an opinion from someone who's read True Noir as well.

Yes Ara, you got to buy a few books to have a more complete story about the movie. You're right about the Future Noir being short on pictures, but then you've also the behind-the-scene DVD, some vids on YouTube, etc... Wink

I see... Well, since it's pretty easy to find here in Spain I'll probably snatch it up at some point Smile

I came across it at a local bookstore yesterday and couldn't resist buying it. But picture-wise I find The Inside Story to be more interesting.
I was surprised to see that it even covers the game that was released in 1997. (I got it when it came out, but never could get past the beginning of the second stage because I'm terrible at gaming).

The Prieto's book is a perfect companion for any BR fan. Future Noir (I've have the first and 2nd editions as well) it's THE HOLY BIBLE, yeah, but lacks of good pictures. So any book with such graphical contents like Prieto's book is a must!

I'll include a complete bibliography of BR related books in my book project (see the banner sign Very Happy ), but meanwhile, when the list are complete will share here. Some rarities are worth a look!

(oh, yes, I can read Spanish, of course.... Very Happy Very Happy )
