Close...but no cigar on that emergency helmet on the alchemycustomdisplay site; a few things are missing: especially the orange front plug |

Wow! That's a great batch of photos.
They must have had a lot of dry-transfer markings left over and tried to use them all up on this one prop. _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing. . . |

So there was at least 4 of them. I am not sure why I only thought there were two?

When I checked my mailbox it was already too late (it sold in less than an hour), so sorry but I don't have any idea regarding the price... (but since I've bought 2 screen-used patches from them for 500GBP, I guess this one was no less than 3000GBP)
IIRC there were 7 of those helmets on the Nostromo cockpit.... 1 for Dallas, 1 for Ripley, 1 for Lambert, 1 for Kane, 1 for Ash... and 2 more on the opposite side to Ash's working area, you can see them in the scene when they eject Kane's burial shroud and a deleted scene featuring Lambert & Ripley...

Hi all. I stumbled across this forum while searching on Taylor Type E pressure helmets. I am also a collector of Alien props and just picked up a rare flight suit from Alien. You can see it on Yourprops here:-
http://www.yourprops.com/view_item.php?movie_prop=30535
My question is has anyone ever managed to find any helmets or parts for helmets at all? I am guessing not though as they seem rare in their own right. My example is missing the red front piece on the helmet. I don't know whether it ever had it on in the film and has got lost since. From film stills I am guessing it would have been fitted originaly. It would be nice to find one one to complete the display.
Anyway its nice to see some nice pictures of other collections here!
Cheers

Hey Gary,
Nice suit and welcome. The Taylor helmets are very hard to come by. If we or someone was able to locate one we could pull a mold and then replicate the helmet with no problem. I just got the visors done and they should be to me soon. I am going to take a stab at this helmet and might just have to scratch build the red port. I hate scratch building. LOL.
But again welcome
Steve |

They still make the Cooper SK-100 for a variety of sports. It looks pretty close to it's vintage self. It seems pretty obvious to me that they used it for a base prototype that they vacuum formed over after adding the Mohawk ridge and filling in the gaps. Unless the SKB is that much different.
