Still no progress on my cop uniform (must complete a few other little projects before I launch this one or I'm going to turn mad) but I recently found this on the Web :

Cheers !

I do believe that picture is cropped. There is a crowd moving behind them, and the third guy is just an extra walking through the scene.

Also, interesting that he has skin tight gloves and not the padded armored looking gloves.

Ans he doesn't wear any Casio on his forearm...

"He doesn't wear the Casion on his arm"...wich is great news Fred, less to buy for that uniform Wink It can still be screen accurate without the padded gloves and no Casio

A couple of degrees more towards the camera and that ID wallet may have revealed a metal badge or no metal badge. Sad

Knowing Ridley's reputation for details, I bet that badge is in there...remember, he went to the "Stanley Kubrick school of details"

Been getting some more work done on this lately. Reworked the face mask a little by adding the inner visor to the outside as seen in Fred`s pic and got a set of correct goggles and
finished off with the registration on the side. If the next version of the face mask is tapered in even further I think I`ll be finally happy with it. Will need to get a more appropriate hat as well.

Ritchie`s cod piece is an old update and was lucky enough to recently find a novelty baton that's exactly the same as the screen used. Although common place in the States,
they are illegal here so the find was a big one. To give it a bit more weight, will fill it with sand later on. Can nearly sign off on the screen accurate duty belt now.

I should have a prototype very soon of a screen accurate Patrolman duty holster.

Been a long time coming, I know.

Literally a couple of weeks away now.

Thanks guys. I`ve set a firm date to finally have this finished, next years Oz Comic Con.
Went last week and there were some awesome costumes but I think the full Patrolman setup would really stand out.

Saw your thread recently Karl and have been waiting to see what you came up with. Cool

I'm eager to see the pics of the event of course Wink
I'm sure that many cops outfits had been made by the costume dept. As we know, the hero costume is always different than the ones you'll see in the crowd scene (no need for fancy gloves or calculators)..then again, different sectors, different outfits; the sky is limit

I think you guys will like my Patrolman holster.

I have another, different, holster order to clear first, then onto this first thing after the weekend.

I'll start a new thread....

I am still working on my patrolman outfits myself. I even picked up a black vinyl coat that is very close to the trench they wear with the clasps. I am still looking for an accurate face shield though. I have yet to find anything perfect yet, but a few that are close.

Have you sourced the correct clasps Andy? Its a shame we didn't get that patch done when the other ones were done, I remember talking about it.

That face shield is THE most elusive prop element Ive come across, or not as it stands. Has anyone though of getting some custom ones produced?

My WIP is based on an amalgam of these three guys. It gives a lot of room for adapting.

That patch is going to be an interesting one to recreate for sure. My coat is similar in material and cut, just not as long as the one in the film. It would also need the arm stripes added. Interestingly it is a woman's coat (XL) that does fit me, and the clasps are on the correct side of the coat. I think it is modeled after a firefighters jacket. The claps do seem to match, and the coat is also from the era of the film from a designer label that I can not recall at the moment.

Keep up the good work man!

Looks very good mate Cool As for the badge, it's seems that it's made out of some kind of foam piping...
