So I've settled on a nice presentation case for displaying my Coyle Worldcon blaster (now complete), here I'll document the steps as I go in constructing it. In order to save time and resources, I'll be using off the shelf components as much as possible.

Today I whipped up some graphics/stickers for the mock case of rounds I'll include inside the case, and attached them to a test box I made:

There are also some random stickers I've made for the case pictured as well. I think the stickers for the ammo box are good to go, will have to find one of those small cardboard boxes at a craft store to use to get it looking 100%.

Should have the case proper tomorrow, then the hunt starts for hardware, handles etc. Looking to make this into something that looks like a "working" presentation case, something that would get carried around and used to store the pistol.

I love watching projects develop and I always have a soft spot for cases / boxes. Can't wait to see further pics of this work in progress.

Finished ammo box. It's not as deep as it should be, but in a display there won't be any way to tell.

Created a user manual to go in the case with the pistol;

Applied a bit of oil and dirt to give it that "lived in" look.

My very own, original "SONIC SHOCK" ammo label from your friendly Tyrell Corp. They make the replicants, they make the bullets to kill the replicants; talk about vertical integration!!!

Feel free to use anyone if you would like to make your own ammo cases.

Really sweet! I love these kinds of projects.
You've got me brainstorming here for more ideas.
How about a sales receipt?
Warranty card?
My old S&W m29 had a cleaning rod in the case.
Some of my guns have promotional materials - patches, stickers etc.
