Thank you all for the welcome.
I am not sure if I paid to much but I just won a conversion kit on ebay.
I can not believe I found one.
It will be fun building the car.
This tutorial will be a great help.

Thanks to Marty, the final electronics have been finished and ive squeezed it all in the boot/trunk. Im really happy with the final product
and have flattened the first battery already.
Massive thanks go to the Medicom toy company, Broken Heros for their amazing upgrade kit, NYZeki for making them available to us and Marty for giving it a soul.
Heres a link to the small video.

Wow, man, that looks awesome. It justifies all the effort that you put into it, I hope mine turns out half as good.
Thank you for the step by step shots for inspiration!! _________________ I want more detail, Father! |

The Lobster spinner is actually the first spinner seen in the movie. The best picture I have seen of it is in the Japanese movie program. I will try and dig my copy out and see if I can scan it. Much cooler spinner than the Alfa Romeo one.

Thanks Geoff, I never heard of the Lobster either, cant say im a fan, looks like something out of the Thunderbirds.
Is it a early stage concept of the eventual spinner or was it a totally seperate design? _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

What's wrong with Thunderbirds? ...yeah, that lobster Spinner
never saw that one before! Of course I'm waiting for Andy's pics to start building one to match my scratch-built Spinner |

Tim, "It Lives" !!
Great to see it alive on youtube, the lights have a nice fadeout when fully loaded. That effect wasn't so obvious with the initial 2 lights i wired for you.
Glad i could help you realise the dream !
Now, onto the BIG ONE !!!!!

Cheers Marty, Beast and Gary.
Well it seems the jobs not finished yet, Marty has found some lights small enough to fit inside the smaller flood lights and ultra thin wires to match,
this means the entire lightbar will be functional which is a dream come true for me.
Another improvment will be a small female 12V outlet hidden somewhere on the spinner that will allow me to "plug it in" when i want it to run indefinately. For those who were concerned about any heat issues with the teardrop covers need not fear, my globes are right up against the edge of each cover and there have been no issues.
Well its back to the shed and delicately pull apart the lightbar, this is where the "a little glue goes a long way" policy hopefully holds out. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |
