Nice find, but no way the $995 price tag is a coincidence lol.
Funny thing is I doubt this originally retailed for more than $200 _________________

Yeap! Seems like the list of vendors aware of our cult grows... and their prices same way!

I was at a gun show with Craig Kovach a long time ago (7 years ago I think) and he picked up a COP for $400. It was just something he found inside a glass case at one of the tables.
I think afterward he discovered the firing pin needed to be fixed, but I know he ended up using it in his film later. Maybe he fixed it.
This is one of those items I always keep an eye out for at gun shows, and on the web. I agree, $995 seems steep, but it is a rare gun that collectors buy too. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

It can still happen (Graflex for $20 for example) but the World Wide Web can have a, somewhat, negative effect on our hobbies. Antique dealers, regular citizens can see pricing on various sites (Ebay is the most popular) and unless you've lived on another planet for the last 10 years you're well aware that there's an important segment in our society that are searching for "stupid stuff" like calculators to make Vid-Phone, Microma watches, WWII jackets and flight suits, guns, etc...oh well |

I agree. Despite BR, I collect other stuff (yeap!) like slide rules.... Wow, the market is crazy in this topic too... Sometimes I was able to get a very rare model for bucks, and next day I see the same for hundreds...
Collect* words are a great niche for vendors. Me myslef uses this term in my other business plans, and can confirm is a great niche to do business. But... one thing is to make a life selling products, and other is to struggle people for a hobby....
We must go out, walk and forgot the net to do good finds again.... or not? (How about a trip to Birmania to buy some duckies.... )
Another excellent option, "use" our friends around the globe to do domestic search and buy. Cheaper, funny and great for us! (my agreements to all people helping me in this matter!!!). Last case: the FC Especial Edition with the nice spinner attached from Japan. I think this weekend a package will fly directly from Tokyo to Barcelona, Spain, at half price of the pre-order!
Patience is A MUST in this game... IMHO...
