Offhand I did find where it was mentioned here before...

Back in '85 there was this low budget film called trancers which I recently rewatched for nostalgic reasons. It actually got a theater release(which is where I saw it twice) unlike the 5 sequels. I only found out today that they made Trancers 4 through 6. Anyway, they clearly were going for a Blade Runner quality looking at some of the costumes and sets. The main character hunts "trancers" just as replicants are hunted in BR. It's a fun romp in '80's craptacular cinema if you have nothing better to do.

Then there is this car parked in front of a diner in the movie.

I remembered there was something blatant taken from BR but couldn't recall offhand until I looked again.

Yes, I think there was something on the RPF (if my memory serves me well) where they explore the theme of spotting BR vehicules in other movies with pics backing their claim...fun to see those again

Thanks SLK! Would not know such a film series was done... It has even Helen Hunt. Very Happy Actually only on 2 first movies. Suprise that even 6 were made.

So Leon, you're in a desert, and there's a slab of beef on the barbie, cooking...but you're not turning it on the other side, why Leon, why? Wink

Yeah if I remember right, they've been spotted in Back to the Future, Star Wars episode 1, and Soldier as well.

Especially funny because Tim Thomerson and Brion James were best friends. They met while serving in the army, and decided to break into acting afterwords. Brion James mentions Thoerson in an interview in Paul Sammon's BR book.
