Hi all,

I'm rather new to BR blaster collecting/fabrication, and new to PropSummit. So far, this site and the members here have been a HUGE help!

Anyway, I recently acquired a Sidkit BR Blaster 2006 kit. Does anyone know where I can find instructions? While they do exist on the Archive Wayback Machine, all the images are gone, gone, gone (curiously, not so for the Worldcon). I'm hoping someone might have the complete pages squirreled away somewhere. Anyone? Bueller? Smile

Will do (upload photos), but don't expect anything special Rolling Eyes

Thanks, all, for the warm welcome! One day soon I'll make a more formal intro on the new members thread.

Did Sidero make updates to the 2006 kit? The reason I ask is that the instructions show a slotted screw on the right side, yet the kit I just got has a Weaver screw. There might be other differences, but I haven't yet been able to make a detailed examination.

The weaver knob was discovered by our very own Andy shortly after the Worldcon pictures were published.

There were a few weaver knobs (original and replica) floating around before the Coyle and Sidkit Worldcon models came out.

Once-Bitten and Richard Coyle both sold replica knobs (I had one of each) and Sid may have sold them too.

I sold my 2006 Sidkit with a replica weaver knob (along with the slotted one), so it doesn't surprise me that you got one. You might ask the person you bought it from if they still have the old slotted knob.

All the photo links are broken when I download the 2006 instructions. Advice?

I just re-downloaded and it still works fine for me (open the blaster.htm file). I used Firefox, not that it should make a difference. BTW, the links between the pages are broken (they point back to the original website), but that's easy to fix by simply editing the appropriate line towards the end of each htm file.

Did as instructed, same results. Not really computer savvy enough, maybe. I can get images separately, and I can get the pages separately, but not integrated on the same page - also using Firefox.

Is it possible that when the archive was unzipped that the original directory structure was not preserved? The pictures should all be in folders of the form "blasterX_files" where "X" is the associated page number.
