Hi all,
I searched but didn't see anything about this. Sorry if I missed it. Embarassed
I seem to remember a site somewhere that had examples of all the small symbols/logos scattered through the corridors of the Nostromo. The most recognizable would be the "Purina" sqaures, but I thought there were other small markings as well.
Does anyone have a link to anything like that?

That's what I posted on the Aliens Legacy site - be sure to check it against the images in Ron Cobb's colorvision book (and the movie itself), as some have different coloring. I'll post a better res scan tomorrow if someone else doesn't before.

Do you have the 'photonovel'? Most of it is quite legible in there.

This signage was auctioned by Profiles in History - Supposed to be located somewhere near the detonation activation ‘pull handles’ (wall mounted), and not on the lid that pops up in the movie that houses the activation valves and plugs.

More great stuff!
ToothTech, those caps are great. I love the close-ups on the buttons themselves. There are some crazy looking labels on them.
I have no idea what it means, but I want an AGARIC FLY button on my computer now.

Was anyone else amused by the fact that the 'dog chow' logo appeared on the crew's hypersleep chamber door? as that's what most of them wound up as.

Hi all, first post so may seem slightly odd - But, Superjedi in answer to your question several posts ago, 'agaric fly' is a species of very poisonous fungi (mushroom). i never thought that being an ecologist by trade and sci-fi fan would meet up in such an obscure way!

Poisonous fungi? Now how would that be incorporated into the self-destruct sequence of a Lockmart CM-88B Bison transport??
What kind of company are you guys running anyway?

It was maybe intended to terminate the pilot instead of destroying the ship !

Hey, Yutani Exec, we welcome all kinds here on this board, the more experienced people (various trades, jobs, etc) the better...and as you can see, being an ecologist is a +...even in science-fiction Smile

Here's my vector version of Cobb's Semiotic Standard. Since this is where I found the artwork that I worked from, I thought it was the decent thing to do to share it here.

I did my best at interpreting RC's hand-written text, but some of it was just too garbled to make out, particularly on the color code. If any of you know what's written there, just let me know and I'll correct it.

Anyhoo, here it is. Hope you can get some use out of it.

Yes, cool. Very Happy

I did the same thing a few years ago, because where I work we can make stickers and I thought they might be popular. I couldn't get anybody interested though! Rolling Eyes

Welcome Oculus (since it's your first post)...what a good way to introduce yourself by showing your excellent work! Love it, very professional.

A side note: Loyalizer, noticed that Kane is the first to wake-up in the Nostromo and the first to die...
