Fantastic news! After some difficulty locking down a shop that was capable and available to run the knurl I stumbled upon one locally. After a nice chat with them Ill be dropping off the batch tomorrow. As soon as I get an eta on when they will be done Ill let you know.

Say, could these parts also be used for the resin Sidkit that’s currently sold? Thanks. _________________ "That man is a head taller than me... that may change." |

i would think they would fit the resin version as its pulled from one of the cast parts that im using to match to.

So I went over to the machine shop an took a look at a sample of the knurl today on one of the test blanks. Im stoked, it looks fantastic. The knurl is very crisp and perfectly formed. So much so that you may want to wear it down a bit with some 400 grit just to soften it up. Ill be picking the full batch up on monday.
Im going to wait to set up the signup list till i can post photos of the finished part but please note Ive run a total of 50 and there has been a request for a bulk order of 10 leaving 38. (Yep I want 2 of them So please be on the look out for the list monday evening in the prop shop. initially ill be sending out the orders sans wiring. If you would like a prewired version ill be building them later in the week and shipping them out as completed.
The news I've been dreading just a bit is that I need to bump up the price just a bit to cover the additional machine shop costs and time. Sorry for the bump but there was a ton of operations per piece, I think it worked out to 23 separate setup for each. Im thinking this will be the last I do of these for awhile.
The final amount per sight rod is $45 plus $5 for domestic shipping and $15 for international. For the prewired version it will be $55.
