PostPosted: Wed Sep 30, 2009 10:39 am    Post subject: Deckard ID Card Anyone Please? Reply with quote

Hi Guys,

I have been trying for some time now, with zero sucess, to find a laminated Deckard ID card for my collection! Unfortunately I was not aware of this site at the time that Spinner44 produced his excellent ones and therefore unfortunately missed out! but if anyone has one that they are interested in selling, or the ability to produce said card (as I know lots of you on here are quite gifted where creativity is concerned) can you please let me know (either by PM or posted reply) as I would be happy to purchase one?

Many thanks

Paul.

Here's the one I did, its not screen accurate though, more like an idealized version. Print, laminate, and enjoy

Did you paste his head on T.J. Hooker????? LOL! I would also love a good ID card since the complete wallet seems in limbo. The one on ebay all the time is to wrong for me to buy. Weapons permit or not.

That's a damn fine job mate. Although its not screen accurate I like the fact that this version has extended the concept of the ID document a little..

Very generous of you to give it as a free download - many thanks.!

Lol nope, that's not The Shat's body. I hit up a few LAPD websites, and found one that had recent graduates from the academy's photos, once I found one that fit the bill, I just 'shopped Deckard's face into it.

The one I have in my shadow box is just two printouts on heavy cardstock glued back to back, then I used one of those self laminating ID holders with the little clip tag. I wasn't able to get the rounded edges on the card though. One of these days I'll have to see about getting it printed on a proper plastic card.

OK, so I know I'm going to be burned at the stake for heresy because I actually chose to screw with a sacred prop.

At the risk of a member here contracting Leon to retire me, herewith a slightly modernised interpretation of Deckard's I.D. card.

Very cool. I think even Tom Southwell if given another chance and more time to complete the ID card would come up with something along these lines.

Thank you again mark,
Andy

Not sure if you tried to print out my card or if you printed out The Loyalizer's card...

Mine was played out at 300dpi at size, so your print rip should set it out correctly. Some packages can take a jpg file and revert it to the screen resolution of 96dpi and that would certainly create a huge printout. If you are able to change the dpi settings of the graphic - within the program - then it needs to be 300dpi.

I've tested it again here and it works fine both on Mac and PC. If it IS my release that's causing problems, let me know and I will see what I can do...

You have done a man's job sir.

I would make one observation though, it's become traditional to use the ID number "B26354" or some variant, because that's what Deckard says his number is in the film ("Bee two sixty three fifty four", however you want to parse that).

Thank you very much mate!

Thanks too for pointing out the error of my ways. Updated with the (hopefully) correct Deckard service number.......
