Update,

Some lights and detail has been added inside the cockpit, I have re-modeled the radio on the left. As well as adding a carpet shader to the floor. I have also modeled Gaff's hat which will eventual rest behind or on the drivers chair. The hat still needs to be textured. Textures also need to be added to various bits n bobs on the door and control panel etc.

Hope you like it

The lights on the panel behind Deckard should be Green not Blue and behind the panel should be three cylinders which on the filming model held the Freon gas used for the exhaust jets ! - just a minor thing !

Thanks

Matt

A+ Matt; I cannot stop looking at your pics...I'll have to buy a bib soon, so I don't have to mop the drool off the floor everytime I view those beauties Very Happy

The lights behind Gaff are definitely blue.

The Gaff one's are Blue as per the close up photo but on Deckard's side they are Green ! The cylinders are located directly behind Deckard's seat between the rear cabin bulkhead and the opposite panel to Gaff's the one with the lights. I have no photo shots -sorry but this detail is taken from the original design plans I own.

Thanks guys for your help and comments so far! I have changed the lights on Deckards side to green as propsjonnyb noticed. I havnt changed the panel as of yet, as i havn't come across a reference that will help me. When i do come across a reference or image il try and change the model then. Smile

So far i have pretty much modeled and shaded most of the interior (i still need to create the interior door handle) I have been trying to light it nicely so it screams bladerunner! Using greens and blues and neon lights. Its not finished yet by no means, i will add more neon designs and street light outside the spinner, and add some more redish lighting that will be projected from the roof lighting. As well as adding more textures etc etc.

Hope you like it so far

Any comments please say!

ps. Im thinking of adding the chinese dragon neon in the background. Not sure if any one has a particular neon design they would like to see in this particular scene?

For the background neon, I'd go with the White Dragon dragon sign, or maybe some of the neon from the window behind Deckard at the beginning. Either way, I would definitely blur it and add in some rain effects to create a sense of distance and atmospheric perspective. This is looking really good so far, very impressive.

I Really don't know if it'll help or bring some confusion to this project... Here is a pic showing more details of one of the Spinners interior !

The interior seen in the movie was from a cockpit only version. The real cars looked much simpler.

Here is a HD image from Nicklas's site of the area behind Deckard...

Awesome reference! Thanks Fred

I saw a similar image tucked in the special features of the blu ray edition but it was from a side angle, this image reveals so much more!

Sorry i havent updated any recent images for a while!

My poor laptop, i dont think it likes long rendering times lol

any way here is my latest render, it took 48 hours to render!!! crazy

http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/7835/matthewroe200910212338.jpg

It still needs some more iconic neon etc, but im happy with the overall render.

Cheers

Wow, Love the neon and the stretching in the seat. Amazing work. BTW, it almost looks like you have the window "rolled down"? Cool idea if true.
