Hey all,

Starting to put together a Mad Max prop collection and need some help putting a finishing touch to the replica outfit ive pieced together.
Gunshops and suppliers are few and far between down here nowadays and it has made it very difficult for me to put the final touch on the replica outfit.

Can anyone in the States help me with a second hand, wooden section of a double barrell shotgun? I think a new one would be too expensive.
I can easily fashion the barells and other parts but am hopeless at carving and wouldnt have the time anyway. A toy or prop one would do the job but may not pass through Customs but a stock would not have a problem.

If anyone can help me with this, as well as covering all shipping etc I will throw in my last spare set of Street Cop patches for your trouble.
Tim.

I'd also love to see your mad max props. the Road Warrior is and will probably always be my favorite movie. I've even got a '73 XB GT Coupe to prove it!

Man, I would have loved to attend something like that had I know about it. Funny thing is I go riding at Soggy very often.

Hopefully it happens again.

Thanks for the info Hasenbrau.

The airsoft is magnificent but unfortunately, they are now illegal in this Country. Im going to apply for a permit to import certain replica firearms,
they are as rare as rocking horse shit but i think i have a good case. Also, i know that they break down into three peices for mantanence
so a three box import is not out of the question.
Would love to see some pics of the XB, my brother had a black XC when i was much younger and when i got to ride in it, always hoped to run into some scags.

Theres not much to show yet Neil, I am putting together a full replica of
the first Max costume. It will be at least as difficult to put together as the Deckard costume, as an example, the t shirts worn in the movie were made in Australia
but have not been available for some time and similar ones arent easy to find, same story with the boots.

Will be able to post some pics when bits start arriving and am also planning to reproduce Max`s lightbar, comms unit and a few other things
down the track including the 1/24 scale cars from the first movie.

Can't wait to see what you come up with Tim.
Love the movie aswell.
I've been trying to research bits aswell.
There are replica boots out there. I saw these, quite pricey though...

I'd love the get the jacket with badges at some point.

On a side not, have you seen this guy's setup. He's in Japan and it looks spot on to me.
Love the "Goose" character.

Theres no link Neil.

Thanks for the boot info, saw them a while ago, too expensive for me and the buckles arent accurate, better suited to a bikerider.
Getting some amazing info from this site:
madmaxmovies.com

I got this pair off ebay this morning for $34.00, a real steal. they are Russian officer boots and are nearly identicle to the original Rossiters, just needing some minor modifacations.

Oops, totally forgot the link.

Tim, what are you doing for the jacket?
I'd love to get one but am on a tight budget.
The cheapest i've seen is about £88 but even that is out of my league.
I've heard that there are quite a few in and around Melbourne.

Awesome vid, that guys got it down.
There are only two makers of the Max jacket that i know of, abbyshot and the southbeachleather versions. The abbyshots ok but for the price, the southbeach
one suits me right down to the ground, I actually bought photechs one off him.
Southbeach leather also make the only and cheapest MFP pants, no front or back pockets, you will find anywhere, $125.00US delivered.
Believe me Neil, you will not find a brand new, screen accurate MM1 jacket for under 100 knicker anywhere else on the planet, unless its a vinyl version, which because of budget restraints, was what everyone
else except Max was wearing.

Sorry about the airsoft Offworld, I'll keep an eye out for real wood components for you, but it seems side-by-sides of those type are pretty rare in the shops around me. Worse case scenario I suppose we could part you out one of those airsoft models.

Of course keep us posted.

In the mean time here's some pics of my Falcon:

Show's the old Queensland plates which I left on until highway patrol warned me about 'em, now registered under MADRMAX Wink

Cheers for the info Tim.
I've been lookin' on ebay and have found some close Brando style jackets but none that are dead on.
Got no budget at the moment anyway but hope i can get one in the future.
I wouldn't even mind a vinyl one tbh, more screen accurate, especially as i have a "Roop" body type, lol.

Hasenbrau, that Falcon is sweet!

Totally cool and Australian history, man Im soooo jealous.
Did you have to get it converted to LH drive?

Too cool!
I've been on that site before but didn't realize they had a Mad Max shotgun.
Not a bad price either, really.
