Yeah, I've noticed that the shipping costs on a lot of the auctions ends up being more than the price of the items... which is why I ended up not continuing to bid on them once the cost of item + shipping got too high for what I was willing to pay. Thanks for your suggestion on using the term 'vintage' as well... using "art deco" was working pretty well, but I just found a few other items with your suggestion.

Well my glassware collection is definately growing... I bought two of the Cibi DOF glasses a week or so ago, got in on Once-Bitten's JW bottle replica, and now getting some of the shot glasses... like I really needed to add to all the glassware I already own!

Has any body else figured out which Dispenser set was used on set? For a hint look at the Extras on the DVD set, not the 45 minute set, but the Dangerous Days and the interviews with the Film Makers on the 5th disc, and you should see it as Racheal gets up from the dining room table and checks in on Deckard, it is up on a dresser to her right.

If the seller balks at shipping overseas, you can have it shipped to me and I'll forward it on to you.

I will try and post more 'Buy it Nows', when I find them, but if you look you can find a few others up now that are starting at good prices. Just try some creative searches.

Nice score!

Mine is nearly identical, but there's no bowler - just a lifting knob:

Prost!

I know! Well, let's see what shipping cost will charge the seller... These pieces are veryheavy.... First set was cumbersome in this way...

This will be my second set.

As Andy said, they are many many of these sets at ebay... but you must look carefully...

... and creative!

Clue: these sets are, in most cases, from 1950's ....

Wink

Maybe somebody with an HD copy of the movie can help me with this. I think the Chrome Bowling Dispenser set is in the movie too. In Sebastian's apartment around the time Pris tosses him the eggs, she walks past the windows and we see a chrome ball with something on top, possibly the bowler. The base doesn't quite match, but it does seem to have the seam in the center and be about the right size.

Andy

p.s. one of the fun things about looking at thes on ebay is that often show us the home of who is photographing them, and sometimes more in the reflection Shocked

Andy, I'll take some snaps tonight when back home. I have an HD-DVD ripped version in my PC. It's perfect to take hi-res snapshots!

And, yeah, reflection in chrome items are happy... Smile You can see me in the globe dispenser.... the white square at top is a big inflatable reflector used with external flash.... Smile

I've done it Fred! ONE HOUR waiting an answer from vendor!!!!! Very HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery Happy

In fact is my third set. One open, one chrome globe and now this. And some spare glasses (one of then with orange rings). I think will be the last one... Too expensive (shipment, not item itself). But... there are plenty of other sets with these glasses at ebay... I've cheched from time to time. It's awesome!
