Thanks for sharing Enero...saw some of the built on the RPF and this now!
Gorgeous weapon, fantastic work (yes, you have to be mad, but it helps).

Adam Savage knows the Prop Replica Quest... the urge to get better and better replicas until you get what you want: indistinguishable from the real thing.
This is a bombshell tho about Paul Allen NOT owning the original prop! If not He... then Who?

The guys from Tomenosuke were there at the auction and seemed pretty sure it was him, but I am very intrigued by this news. I hope someone is willing to spill the beans on this new info.

Maybe in private hands now, and don't want to disclose info (fear of theft or other personal reasons)...the plot thickens |

That is what it sounds like. Maybe they just want to hide it away and only share with friends and close business associates. Maybe they have other plans for it including working with a licensee and the BR partnership to have accurate replicas made (one could only hope ). Maybe it will even go back up for sale again soon. Many of the BR props have been in rotating auctions for years...at least until they ended up in Paul Allen's hands and in his museum. Sometimes these owners want to keep it a secret so people like us won't be calling them and asking to play with it
