Have finally put together all the seperate parts that make up Max Rockatanskys MFP oufit.
Although i still need to make some minor mods, i had an amazing find hat was just incredible.
The Rossi boots worn by Max and the MFP are extremely rare to say the
least so when a pair came up on ebay listed as WW2 flying boots, i jumped on them. The side flaps, staps and buckles were missing but
after some searching were easily replaced.
Once ive finished the mods on the rest, will post pics.

Thanks J and Neil
These boots would have to be one of the hardest to
find bits of original costuming around and that they
are roughly my size is incredible to say the least.
I know of only one other collector who has a pair and
he is in the States.
It also allows me to use the Russian Officer boots for
the BR street cop costume.

Finally got the last bit for the Mad Max costume and its now finished.
The sunglasses have never been identified but there are many Carrera styles that look similar. An original Bonds baby blue raglan t shirt was used in the movie and
proved the hardest piece to find since they havnt been made for years but managed to find a very tight small size.

The belt is a vintage UK police belt and is the closest ive been able to find, the police baton is a vintage UK baton so its not a stretch that they also used the British belt.
The gloves are from ebay and are exact replicas from the movie.
The jacket and pants are from South Beach leather and are specifically designed for the MFP cut. No pockets on the front or back of the pants. I had to remove the
rivited supplied shoulder caps as they were not very accurate. Instead of using rivots this time, i used velcro and it seems to work well.
I was incredibly lucky to come into posession of an original pair of Rossiter boots that are the same boots worn by Max and the MFP. These boots are extremely rare and were
listed for auction as a pair of WW2 aviatin boots. They are even my size.

The accessories Max carries proved very hard to come across with our tough gun laws but it worked out faily well as i got a suitable toy 357 that has the exact grip and markings as Max`s and ended up scratch building a sawn off shotgun replica very close to the original.
The shotgun holster is from a fan site and very well made, as were the shoulder caps and Gerber knive. The hand gun holster in the movie was a bianci Long with the clamp closer,
mine is a Medium with the same clamp, similar to Deckards. The three link cuffs and plastic baton come from ebay UK The pins and badges are replicas
made by Abbyshot and are great quality.

Very happy with the end result and he certainly makes an impression in any room he gets put in. A very big thankyou
to Jared, Karol and MFP 2020 at madmaxmovies.com for all their help in getting this together.

I know the Gerber is not part of the MM1 costume (MM2) but i think it gives the best bad ass costume one more fang.

Huge congrats Tim.
Glad to finally see some photo's but boy was it worth the wait.

I heard some interesting news about MM last night on TV, here in the UK.
Tom Hardy was on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross and mentioned he is to be in the new MM movie (I didn't even know they were making one)
It will be directed by the original director as well.

I still have a dream to get a MM jacket, hopefully one day Smile

Love all the details you've put into it.
You should do a "Goose" costume next Smile

Thanks very much Neil.
For me, the series ended at Mad Max 2. The third movie was so far away from the originality and individuality of the first two that it actually makes me angry,
not mad, when i see it. Im not holding my breath for the new one. No Mel, No Max Wink

AWESOME WORK, Tim !

Must admit I'm not really into Mad Max but I can definitely see all the love you put into this great costume... and it makes me want to see the first 2 ! (I haven't for a while !)

BRAVO !

Fred

(like you, I've always hated the MTV inspired 3rd one)

Totally agree. Can't remember seeing the second, not sure I did.
The first film is my favourite version.
I would love a Goose helmet, more of a Roop body type though..haha.

Thanks very much guys, had a lot of fun putting it together and its even more sinister in real life. I really think it needs a Mel Gibson head,
can anyone help with this idea?. I dont want to outlay a fortune of course as i know how high something like this could run, a Harrison
head would top off the Deckard costume as well, it never ends Rolling Eyes

Im very jealous Neil, I would love to see Mad Max 2 for the first time again, is that right? anyway, do so as soon as possible.
There was another movie between MM1 and MM2, they foolishly decided to make MM3 instead.

I have seen a picture of the BR street cops with a standard modern style baton with a side handle steevy, dont have the pic though.

"Mate, she's the ducks guts"

Excellent work Tim. the shot gun looks very convincing. Where'd the shoulder holster come from? I'm glad you changed those awful shoulder caps, but judging by your complexion in the picture you now need to get out more, unless you are going for the Twilight look.

Now is there an XB hard top in the garage yet?

CHeers,
Bob
