Hey Guy's this is going to be my first project post. Well I had the Deckard tile mold for quite some time now and I decided to get into a project on converting my whole room using these tiles. From the picture that you see is my first failed attempted.. I put too much water on the cement mix... I need to redo it again with less water. I have an uncle who is a professional tile installer and mold maker too so I will ask him for advice. I know some of you are interested in getting these tiles so I will ask him if there's a less heavier way of shipping these out than to use heavy cement this way shipping wont be an arm and a leg. So anyone who will be interested in these tiles please PM me or via email me at cloudi7mail@gmail.com and I will keep a list of all the individuals who are interested. I won't have a limit of how many orders I need before I start these..

My first attempted:

Very cool Grimmy.

Really lucky you have an uncle who is a professional tile installer and mold maker aswell, almost like it was meant to be Smile

Can't wait to see more on this project.

Neil.

Good stuff Grimmy! As far as I'm concerned, not every tile should be perfect...little default/cracks here and there are the way to go
Eager to see pics of your all room.

Saw this and just had to inquire as to how it's going. I was out in LA not long ago and visited all the Wright sites and was amazed at the condition of the Ennis Brown house and existing wall tiles. I'm interested in this run if it happens. Are you looking into doing vacformed tiles to reduce weight?
It looks great.

I would love to have a room full of these if they were in plastic.

I'd suggest slip moulding in resin , using the mould you have or vac forming from a cast 'good' tile , that would significantly reduce the weight and a lot more people would be interested including myself , I just don't want to pay for shipping concrete across the Atlantic!!

I think vacu-forming with 3mm sintra would be perfect and just as strong if not stronger than any other wall covering. I want enough to do one whole room and if we can get t hat price down to around $400 or less, I'm in.

These are great; I've wanted to do one wall in my home with these for a long time. I think the resin idea will work. Can even paint and weather them.
